The Dark Knight Rises TV Spot 4: "I'm Retired"

Bruce Wayne feels world weary, a little older, and by all accounts feeling a bit wiser.

Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne is really entertaining as he brushes off Fox's attempt to show him new Bat-gear by telling him he's "retired." Of course Wayne like any other human being starts to get that giddy look on his face (reminiscent of the "Batman Begins" scene where he asks if the tumbler comes in black) after being shown his new ride: The Bat. Sure he still tells Fox he's retired but we all know better. These last couple tv spots are really getting the blood flowing and in my opinion, are starting to show a much more "my style" interpretation of Bruce Wayne. He's world weary, a little older, and by all accounts feeling a bit wiser. Come July I think we might just get Christopher Nolan's homage (not adaptation!) to a little graphic novel called The Dark Knight Returns by Frank Miller. But oh boy is that a story for another post! Stay tuned!
