THE HOBBIT: AN UNEXPECTED JOURNEY Trailer Online Tuesday Night 7pm PST, 10pm EST

It has been a gruelling eight year wait to see Peter Jackson's take on The Hobbit but finally we get to see a glimpse tomorrow...

It's a big week for Warner Bros with the all important marketing kicking in for two of their biggest movies of next year, or any year really. We've just got our eyes on the official trailer for The Dark Knight Rises and now comes word that the official trailer for the first of Peter Jackson's two part Lord of the Rings prequel, titled The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, will be online tomorrow (Tuesday December 20th) from 7pm PST and 10pm EST. The trailer is attached to U.S. prints of The Adventures of Tintin that opens Stateside a day later on Wednesday, December 21st. For me this has been a gruelling eight year wait to finally see the trailer for Jackson's take on The Hobbit after the credits rolled on The Return of the King back in Christmas 2003. It's been a long journey getting here, as treturous and as unlikely to be fullfilled as Bilbo Baggins's own dangerous and unexpected adventure. But finally a glimpse at Jackson's return to Middle Earth is just a day away. Meanwhile, to whet our appetite for the reveal, Empire Magazine in their latest bumper sized 2012 preview issue (via The Playlist) have a new image of Martin Freeman as Bilbo Baggins to tie us over. Look at his Hobbit face! There truly was no person on this planet more suited to succeeding Ian Holm in this iconic part.... €œThe Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey€ finds Ian McKellen, Andy Serkis, Cate Blanchett, Elijah Wood, Hugo Weaving, Christopher Lee and more reprising their beloved roles from the Lord of the Rings trilogy and a plethora of new names to play the new characters. The film is scheduled to open next Christmas.
