THE PHANTOM MENACE - The Ultimate Review

We all realize that there's something intrinsically wrong with Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace. When discussing the problems of the film, fanboys usually cough out insightful analyses like "it sucks" or "Jar Jar sucks" or "George Lucas sucks." We all find it troubling, but it's hard to really articulate the problems in it. Thankfully, someone has finally dissected The Phantom Menace once and for all. This is a ninety minute review in several parts, and narrated by a guy who sounds like a drunk with a speech impediment. In fact, the character created for these reviews allows much of the humor in the piece to engage, rather than simply sounding like a smartass like so many other wannabees on YouTube. Even better, he actually makes some brilliant critical points about the narrative problems in the film, so it's not just a series of comedy bits. People like Michael Bay should carefully watch this in order to learn what not to do with their future films. Here is the first part. After the jump I've embedded the rest of the series.

I recommend that you also check out this guy reviewing Star Trek: First Contact. It's brilliant as well.
