the wolverine trailer 20th Century Fox have revealed the official CinemaCon trailer for this summer's highly anticipated superhero blockbuster, The Wolverine. Based on Chris Claremont and Frank Miller's iconic comic book arc from the 80s, The Wolverine is actually a spin-off sequel to 2006's X-Men: The Last Stand and is set in a modern day Japan as Wolverine/Logan (Hugh Jackman) mourns the events that led to the death of Jean Grey (Famke Janssen, who appears in flashbacks). The movie depicts our clawed hero in a foreign land as he squares off against deadly and unexpected opponents in life-or-death battles that will change him forever. You can see the new 1.01 minute clip for yourselves using our player below; The rest of the cast of The Wolverine is mostly made up of Asian actors with roles for Hiroyuki Sanada (Shingen Yashida), Brian Tee (Noburo Mori), Will Yun Lee (Silver Samurai), Rila Fukushima (Yukio), Hal Yamanouchi (Yashida) and Russian actress Svetlana Khodchenkova (Viper). Directed by James Mangold (Knight & Day, 3:10 To Yuma), from a screenplay he co-wrote with Christopher McQuarrie (The Usual Suspects, X-Men 1 & 2), The Wolverine is due to hit UK cinemas on July 25th, 2013.
