Transformers: The Last Knight is in cinemas now, and to the surprise of nobody has taken a massive beating from critics.

While millions will still watch the movie because they just want to switch their brain off and enjoy giant robots punching each other, there are also those who will go see The Last Knight because, as bad as these movies often are, they usually do bring enough weirdness to the table to be memorable, even hilarious experiences.

The fifth Transformers film absolutely doesn't disappoint in that regard, serving up the weirdest and most gleefully over-the-top entry in the series to date. There are so many "Did that really just happen?" moments, and Bay totally leans into them for maximum WTF effect.

Even if you hated The Last Knight, it'd hard to deny the film's entrancingly odd watchability...

20. Stanley Tucci Is...Merlin!?

When it was revealed that Stanley Tucci would be appearing in The Last Knight, most viewers rightly assumed he'd be reprising his Joshua Joyce role from the last movie, but hilariously, he's instead randomly recast as the legendary wizard Merlin.

Tucci has a cameo right at the start of the film, appearing as a bearded, boozy version of the wizard, who swigs from a bottle while atop a horse and declares, "I'm sozzled!". He then meets up with one of the Knights of Cybertron, who hands him the magic staff around which the movie then revolves.

It's utterly bizarre, but incredibly amusing all the same.
