Brexit: The Movie might be coming.

Are you irresistibly charming but thoroughly reprehensible? Could you sell literally any idea through talking? Do you have a track record of saying inflammatory, controversial things and avoiding all self-awareness, all while attempting to insist on your own power in a government you're not an elected part of? Then Hollywood might have JUST the job for you!

According to The Telegraph, Nigel Farage and Brexit might be the subject of a forthcoming movie, as Warner Bros are apparently looking at the option to buy the rights to Brexit funder Arron Banks' diary of success. According to Banks' spokesman, the film will be comedy taking in some of the more notable steps towards Britain leaving the EU, including the famed Battle Of The Thames when Farage and Bob Geldof squared up (nautically) on the waters).

Spokesman Andy Wigmore said: “We have had some very serious Hollywood people in touch with us who are going to buy the rights to the book. They want to buy the option on it.”

However you feel politically, the story of how one man helped fund an insidious, bonkers campaign to "convince" the British public with half-information and spurious promises is a compelling one. And the men behind it are apparently keen to donate the money they make from the sale to charity.

Next up - if it's optioned - Hollywood will have to find an actor willing to be typecast as Farage (who has already been played quite wonderfully by comedian and former Muppets Treasure Island star Kevin Bishop in Nigel Farage Gets His Life Back).
