Warner Bros. to spalsh in Ellis' OCEAN

I'm sure I've spoke about this project before but a quick search on the OWF Archives has turned up nothing, so maybe I just dreamt it? The Hollywood Reporter tell us today that Warren Ellis' 2005/2006 comic mini-series Ocean is to be adapted into a feature film from Warner Bros. and relative unknown scribe Ryan Condal. The producers behind the upcoming adaptation of Frank Miller's comic Ronin are behind the deal.

The story revolves around the discovery of thousands of coffins containing angel-like bodies and a giant weapon of mass destruction beneath the ice on Europa, one of Jupiter's moons. A U.N. weapons inspector is sent to investigate the find, teaming with a space station crew, when a powerful conglomerate moves in to exploit the discovery.
Now that is one cool pitch. Some good reviews can be found on this one from Amazon - this sounds promising.
