Welcome To Cannes 2015

The action starts tomorrow.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wZftL3S6EgU The biggest event in the film calendar (well, except maybe the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens), all eyes on the French riviera as the 68th Cannes Film Festival kicks off. While the stars are treading the red carpet and the world eagerly awaits who's going to win the Palme d'Or, we're beginning our coverage of the fortnight, promising a frank dissection of the films and an eye-opening look at the festival. Films to watch out for include sci-fi rom-com The Lobster (Friday 15th), Gus van Sant's latest The Sea Of Trees (Saturday 16th), steamy Patricia Highsmith adaptation Carol (Sunday 17th) and star-studded Shakespeare Macbeth (Saturday 23rd) as well as out of competition appearances from Woody Allen's Irrational Man (Friday 15th) and Pixar's Inside Out (Tuesday 19th). We'll be bringing you reviews of all these and more, starting with opening film Standing Tall (La TĂȘte Haute). Keep an eye on our Facebook, Twitter and YouTube pages for updates over the coming week.
