We're Going To Get More Spider-Man Than Expected In Captain America: Civil War
Tom Holland has joined the production in Germany.
Last month Tom Holland's Spider-Man shot a tiny cameo for Captain America: Civil War whilst production rolled through Atlanta, which sat well with speculation the web-slinger would only feature briefly in the superhero epic. However, fresh reports are confirming that Holland's shored up with the on-going production again, this time in Germany. Does that mean Spider-Man has a larger role in Civil War than originally anticipated? Holland's confirmed to be in Germany, but it's unlikely he's there just for kicks. On Twitter last week he made it clear it was "time to get back to work." https://twitter.com/TomHolland1996/status/631113554012278784 So, seems like Spidey's going to be appearing more than once in the movie. The production has largely been shooting action in Germany, with a range of cast members including Chris Evans, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie and Chadwick Boseman's Black Panther all sighted. This indicates Spider-Man will be heavily involved in a major set-piece and also lends credence to reports we'll see more than one spidey suit. The current thinking is he'll rock a homemade costume initially, before upgrading to a slicker, more traditional look courtesy of Tony Stark. Maybe he'll crack out the the higher tech threads for whatever action's being shot in Germany? This could mean we'll get to see the new MCU incarnation of the character going full-throttle rather soon, which is very exciting. Captain America: Civil War opens in the UK on the 29th April 2016. It follows a week later in the US on 6th May.
