If David Fincher had directed The Dark Knight Rises, what might the opening title credits look like?
I’m not sure that was the question posted to Batman fan Doğan Can Gündoğdu but his brand new amateur fan video interpretation of this summer’s superhero blockbuster certainly owes a huge heap of credit to Fincher’s credits to his classic serial killer film Se7en.
Using the same kind of montage shots but replacing a psycho killer piecing together his notebook of insanity with the blood of his victims to Bane evidence gathering and plotting his evil from stills of Batman and Gordon’s crew and The Gotham Times, the video is damn effective. Accompanied with a kind of redo of the sick Nine Inch Nails Se7en track mixed with the music and chants we’ve heard from The Dark Knight Rises trailer, the video also comes with an appropriately Winter theme.
Basically, watch it now and be impressed;
Though not content with just creating this video, Dogan has also made some very fine movie posters, 4 in fact, for the new movie featuring Batman and Bane which you can see below;
The Dark Knight Rises opens July 20th, 2012. Is it just me or is about time we had another official poster?

they didn’t bother to fix the michael c’l'aine in the pic and it was fan-made months ago…XD
Not impressed in the slightest.
Don’t understand the draw to this video. It sucks. Takes about 15 seconds to become incredibly bored with it.
Let’s not forget that the opening titles of Se7en was Kyle Cooper’s job. The guy did the titles for, among others, the Spider-Man movies, the Dawn of the Dead remake, MGS2&3 and The Walking Dead.
Yes, Absolutely right . thanks
I guess a few people who posted have never seen Se7en then.
Meh. The video was in no way up to the level of the Se7en titles, unsurprisingly. It did nothing for me. Which is a shame, because I can see how a Fincher type approach to Batman titles could work. Also that first poster is a terrible freeze frame of Batman with his mouth open, squawking at Bane. Tsk.
Sounded like Vader at the end there.
