What Was Your Favourite Movie Moment Of Summer 2013?

2013 We've decided to try out a new feature here on the site, where each weekend we give you a question, and the chance to discuss, debate, rant, and rave in the comments section! We love hearing feedback from our readers and want this to be an open forum for you to chime in. So, with the summer blockbuster season (finally) behind us, we want to know: what was your favorite movie moment of the summer? This summer we saw our fair share of superheroes, zombies, monsters (both fighting robots and going to college!), car chases, and alien invasions. We saw the White House blow up twice, Wolverine square off against a horde of ninjas, and Benedict Cumberbatch single-handedly dispatch a group of angry Klingons. And yet, as big as the summer was, it appears it may go down in infamy in the hearts of moviegoers. For every box office hit, there were a handful of (enormous) disappointments, and for every critically acclaimed film, there were those that didn't even reach the double digits on the Tomatometer scale on Rottentomatoes.com. Some films came and went in a whimper, and will most likely be forgotten by the time the year is over. Other films struck such a chord with audiences that we're still talking about them (Man of Steel, I'm looking at you!). So, despite it being one of Hollywood's most overblown and critically mixed summers, there's no denying that it has become one of the most debated and discussed. No that it's over, and the fall season of Oscar contenders is fast approaching, we want to take a look back at the summer and hear about your favorite moments. Even the worst films had bits of enjoyment, and even the best films had scenes that stuck with you more than any other. What was your favorite moment of summer 2013? And remember, "favorite," doesn't necessarily have to mean "best." It can be an entire scene, or a single second of film that stuck with you for months. Either way, we want to hear about it! Let us know in the comments below.
