Wonder Woman Reviews: 11 Early Reactions You Need To See

Turns out it really is quite wondrous.

Wonder Woman Reactions
Warner Bros.

We're just a couple of weeks away from the release of Wonder Woman, and - despite some articles to the contrary - hype is really ramping up.

The film is important for a couple of reasons: it's the first female-led superhero film of the modern comic book movie era, and it's the next chance for the DCEU to 'save' itself, after the critical bashings of Batman v Superman and Suicide Squad.

The film focuses on an era not often put in films, World War 1, and sees Gal Gadot's Diana leave her homeland of Themyscira behind to join Chris Pine's Steve Trevor and head into the war. The trailers have all looked impressive, with a different tone to previous DCEU movies, and now the film has screened for sections of the press.

It's a sign of confidence from Warner Bros., who with previous films have held off on critical screenings until much closer to release date, preferring instead to just show the movie to fans. While we don't have full reviews yet, the social media embargo has broke for those were were in attendance at the film's press screening, meaning we can get an early grasp on just how the film is shaping up.

If the early Twitter reactions are anything to go by, WB's confidence in the movie is more than justified, and the film is truly a wonder.
