Yes that's right, another vampire movie is on the way

The news from The New York Times via Coming Soon is that two time Oscar winning actress Hilary Swank is to once again venture into the horror genre, this time with the vampire flick Fangland. Based on the John Marks novel of the same name that was released back in January, the movie will follow Swank as she is hunted down by vampires at the TV news magazine studio that she works for. The tale is set to be somewhat of an allegory of life working for 60 Minutes, who author John Marks was once a producer for. Swank most recently starred in the horror movie The Reaping, which made a very mediocre $10 million on it's opening weekend and did nothing in terms of elevating her status as an actress... but may have added some green to her purse. This is the third vampire movie that we have talked about this week (2 of them today!) after the Julie Delpy directed The Countess starring Ethan Hawke, and the vampire movie The Daybreakers, also starring Ethan Hawke. This one sounds pretty interesting and may have an intriguing story to tell, rather than just being a mindless horror flick. Let's hope so, because as I keep saying... well made vampire flicks are right up my alley.
