With the fifth season of HBO's stunningly popular Game Of Thrones adaptation on its way, expectations and excitement in the fan community are reaching fever pitch. The epic tale of power, chronicling the violent dynastic struggles for control of the Iron Throne is a beautiful blend of gory, extremely sexy, stunning production qualities and perfect casting. And inevitably, as an HBO show, it is a shining example of both storytelling and how to adapt literature to the small screen. Obviously, a hell of a lot of work occurs on the other side of the camera and it's always enlightening as a fan to catch a glimpse behind the curtain. And thankfully production stills capture the lulls between the magic, showing directors at work, actors messing around, special effects in action and prop rooms. And while you wait for the debut of the latest season, what better time to present thirty great behind the scenes shots from George RR Martin's incredible world of Westeros?
