10 Biggest Video Game Bombs Of 2018

The irony of Fallout 76's sales being a wasteland.

Bethesda

This year has been an absolutely great for gaming.

It's actually a lot easier to talk about all of the fantastic titles that came out this year, such as Red Dead Redemption 2, God of War, Marvel's Spider-Man and so many more. The amount of choice for any gamer this year is absolutely staggering.

That doesn't mean that there weren't some stinkers, though.

Several big games this year managed to shoot themselves in the foot by either not delivering on promises, being too similar to previous entries or, well, just not being very good.

Even worse are the cases where a game has failed for reasons other than its quality. There are several instances here where a game has bombed despite actually being great.

Unfortunately, with such strong competition, that means that there are a lot of games out there that were simply destined to fail.

The worst thing is that every single game on this list had potential. There's nothing worse than a game not living up to what it could really do, but the following selection is full of them.

Jumping through portals, swinging through cities, destroying beings made of darkness and occasionally shooting a gun or two. I also write about games.
