Nights Into Dreams is rightly looked upon as the best game to grace the Sega Saturn. Along with offering cool race/platforming gameplay and kaleidoscopic visuals, it also introduced us to Nights.

Bouncing around like a jester but graceful like an angel, this androgynous Nightmaren from Nightopia (it was the nineties, remember, when anything was okay) became the poster icon for the Saturn, managing to soar high above the wreckage of this console long after it sank.

The last time Nights floated onto consoles was in 2007's Wii sequel, Journey Into Dreams. Despite looking pretty, the game was all a bit too stuck in the past for the next generation of gamers.

But never fear, creator Takeshi Iizuka has hopes for a third coming of the purple jump-suit'ed hero in the future.
