Without question there is no video game franchise that has been as much a magnet for controversy over the years as Rockstar's immensely popular Grand Theft Auto series. Ever since it first arrived on the PlayStation way back in 1997, GTA has been the target of hate campaigns from Conservative politicians, ambulance-chasing lawyers and easily-offended members of the public for its graphic depictions of violence, its treatment of women and so on and so forth.
