10. Drayden/Iris - Pokémon Black & White

Depending on whether you opted for the Black or White versions of the fifth generation games, you'd get a different leader to face when you reached the final gym. In truth this is merely aesthetic, however, as Drayden or Iris will have exactly the same team either way.

But whether you face the feisty young girl or the man with the strangest beard in history, you'll definitely face a tough task. While their Fraxure can be despatched relatively easy since it isn't fully grown, the Druddigon and Haxorus that follow are genuine beasts. Both can withstand solid attacks pretty well, but the mix of Dark and Dragon Type attacks they unleash in return are deadly to virtually any team.

While it is possible to grab a Cubchoo or an Axew to drive an Ice or Dragon Type back at the leader, these are quite rare and often caught at such a level that it's difficult to equip them well without move tutors. If you're willing to put that extra work in then the battle will be simpler, otherwise you could be in for s frustrating fight.
