10 Video Games That Actually Taught Us Something Useful

9. Call of Duty - The Value Of Teamwork

Granted, Call of Duty teaches the value of teamwork largely due to the fact that most of the people online don't have a clue about how to work as part of a cohesive team; play an objective match in any Call of Duty game, and people will often run around like headless chickens, trying to get a few lame kills, rather than actually protect the objective, plant the bomb or do anything remotely useful. Thus, you'll find typically that unless you have the lucky fluke of a team of good players, any objective bouts you win will mostly be by luck, when the opposing team is even more staggeringly inept than your own. Only on the Hardcore modes can a consistent collection of skilled players be found, who will use voice coms to shout commands, and actually protect those planting the bomb. This is a game series that teaches us something by showing us the dire circumstances of its exclusion, a power lesson in of itself.
