10 Video Games You’ll Still Be Playing Long Into 2016

A 300 hour campaign, 20 hour DLC and still more to come. The Witcher 3 is built to last.

When rounding up all the games of a given year, it's easy to start thinking of them as the past, and the upcoming titles as 'the future'. It's almost like we consign them to the annals of history, even though they all have plenty life left. Scowl though we may about the dark side of DLC, when executed well it can add new life to a game that we previously thought was on its last legs, and sometimes, overhauling the existing mechanics can help us see it in a new light. There are other games out there, meanwhile, that don't even need to rely on big DLC packs to keep us playing well into the new year, thanks not only to their excellent design, but generous developers who keep trickling out small bits of content that keep us coming back for more. The end of 2015 doesn't mean that all the great games released so far are going to be left behind. Here are 10 that'll keep you glued to your screen well into 2016.
