12 Most Anticipated & Must Have Video Games Still To Come in 2013

Super Mario 3d World It's already November, and practically everything that's been talked about for the past year is now out in the wild being dissected by gamers everywhere, but there's still plenty to get excited about before 2013 ends. With the impending arrival of PS4 and Xbox One, there's plenty of new games that people will be enjoying before we're all singing Auld Lang Syne this year. And let's also not count out Nintendo - both Mario and Zelda have brand new games coming out in the next couple of months and both of those are shaping up to be pretty good. For a year that sees a transition into next gen territory, we've really been spoiled: Bioshock Infinite, The Last of Us and the magnificent GTA V have all already wowed us, and there's a pertinent argument for this being the best year ever for gaming in recent memory. But that's a debate for another time. Unfortunately a few games that many of us were looking forward to (such as Watch Dogs) have now been pushed back to 2014 and we'll have to do without them this Christmas, but there are more than enough high-points still to come to district from that. Hopefully this list will tingle your gaming thumbs a little bit and give you something else to enjoy over the holiday season.

12. Ratchet And Clank: Into The Nexus

Ratchet And Clank Into The Nexus After a few years of messing around with spin-off games for absolutely no apparent reason, Ratchet and Clank's latest adventure returns to the old formula that we all fell in love with. Dubbed Into the Nexus, this title has been somewhat secretly developed; there's not much hype behind it at this point, but it's definitely coming this year. You can expect all the trademark wit of the Ratchet and Clank experience to be in place, along with ridiculous new guns to play around with and blow enemies into little tiny pieces/turn them into animals or other strange objects. New weapons include the Winterizer, which turns enemies into snowmen and a gun which scares the bejesus out of enemies by creating terrifying entities. If you're unfamiliar with R and C, you've either a) taken up residency under a rock, b) never owned a Playstation or C) are clinically designated as insane. It's an absolutely great series, marrying together platforming with great shooting mechanics, excellent characters and genuinely gripping gameplay. For those who are familiar with the series, Into the Nexus is said to be the final part of the 'Future' series of Ratchet and Clank games which began with Tools of Descruction several years ago. By the way, us Europeans always seem to get a different name to Americans when it comes to Ratchet and Clank games. Here it's called Ratchet and Clank: Nexus. Who knew that Europeans have trouble pronouncing "into" and "the"? Ratchet and Clank: Into the Nexus is set to be released exclusively on Playstation 3 on November 12th 2013 in North America and November 22nd European territories.
