12 Characters That Should Return In The Next Mortal Kombat Game

9. Fujin

Fujin first appeared as a boss character in the questionable Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero as the God of Wind whilst making his playable debut in Mortal Kombat 4 as an ally of Raiden. With Raiden's eventual ascension to the pantheon of the Elder Gods, he appointed Fujin as his successor to defending the realm of Earth - a duty Fujin embraced. Having been essentially re-equipped in MK: Armageddon, Fujin made away with the strange crossbow that emitted a green-energy when fired. Focus was placed solely on his power to manipulate and bend the element of wind to his will. Not to mention he got a humungous sword called 'The Devastator' which was an unusual choice, given his deity status. In terms of gameplay, his powers over wind could be executed more fittingly, haveing him use bursts of wind and palm-emitted tornadoes during combos to really give the assertion that he is in fact a god of the element. It could be interesting to see in the future if he is in fact corruptible, being chosen as a protector of Earthrealm is surely a stoic mantle and would definitely warrant those who would challenge it. Perhaps we could see Raiden not agree with some actions Fujin would employ and there then be a battle of Gods, electricity coursing through turbulent winds and over treacherous seas....y'know, all the good stuff. Given the correct direction, Fujin could have popularity and meaning bestowed upon him.
