Not in a malicious way, but author Sapkowski isn't someone interested in video games as a medium whatsoever.

Instead, CD Projekt purchased the rights from him directly when they conceived the idea of a game, and went on to turn the series into one of the finest RPGs of all time. It's quite the success story for such a small team of 15 that slowly expanded to over 100 across development of the first title alone. It's also worth pointing out Adam Badowski - one of the key coders on the game - was forced to sleep under his desk for three days straight, just to ensure he could work as much as possible to pull everything together.
