12 Worst Star Wars Video Games

With so much potential for success, how could anyone get it so wrong?

With great marketing potential, comes great responsibility. No more is that twist on the classic Spidey-related phrase more appropriate than here, as when the potent potential in question is made up of a cavalcade of fantastic characters, loveable world-aesthetics and struggles of good and evil that anyone can relate to, it's easily a case of "How did you manage to get this so wrong!?" when naff Star Wars title shows up. Still, fans of Lucas' baby have had it worse than most at least in terms of the filmic iterations, giving way to a group of diehards across every medium that no matter how bad things may seem, they'll at least give any new iteration sporting the logo a chance. Star Wars itself holds within so many universal themes, it's easy to meld and mould them into any form or genre. Lucasarts' publishing division seem to have been doing exactly that over the years too, green-lighting every project that came their way as developers take any old idea and apply a few Star Wars-specific labels - the two of them raking in cash from an otherwise naff project. It's a crying shame that what was once such a sacred and laboured-over franchise has been stretched thin in every possible direction, but some more than others stand out as the worst cash-ins and misuses of a very rich lore so far.
