15 Greatest Video Game Theme Songs Of All Time

8. Tekken 3 (Jin Kazama)

Tekken itself tends to be recognised by its 'King of Iron Fist Tournament' soundbite as oppose to a given theme, but that's only in service of letting the characters define the franchise instead. To that end, Tekken 3 is the best of the lot, featuring some of the finest background music ever written.

Jin's in particular is a really slick, guitar riff-heavy piece that perfectly encapsulated his character as the radical newcomer, entering the Tournament to face off against his grandfather, Heihachi. There were two versions recorded for the arcade and home release, and whilst they differentiate a tad in terms of sounding less or more electronic, the above home release take tends to be the one fans remember most.

Let me know in the comments which character's theme was your favourite (Hwoarang almost made the cut here, too), as for now I'm throwing Jin up there as the best of the bunch.
