15 Upcoming PS4 Exclusives That Make The Console Worth Buying

You won't find these on a Microsoft console.

It's close to a year since the PlayStation 4 hit stores now, and while pundits and gamers alike mostly agree that the console is a technical marvel, it's not exactly been overflowing with exciting new releases to keep us glued to our controllers. Sure, it didn't help that the likes of Watch Dogs and Destiny were considerable disappointments, though with so many intriguing console exclusives on the horizon, some of them have to hit the mark, right? Whether lavish AAA titles or modest indie efforts, these 15 games aren't available on Xbox One or Wii U: the only way to play them on a console is on the PS4, and if even just half of them live up to their sure promise, they'll help make a PS4 worth buying over the next year or so (and if you already own one, stop it from collecting too much dust). It's widely expected for the first year in a console's life cycle to largely exist of games intended to show off the platform's technical capabilities while innovative gameplay takes a back seat, though year 2 for the PS4 should be all about building up a library of must-have classics that justify owning the expensive bit of kit over Sony's fierce competitors. Here are 15 upcoming PS4 console exclusives that should make it worth buying.

15. LittleBigPlanet 3

It's been close to 4 years since the last LittleBigPlanet game was released on the PS3, and fans have been chomping at the bit ever since for another installment, which came as a surprise announcement at this year's E3. The hilarious E3 demo showed off three new characters who will be accompanying Sackboy on his latest adventure: Oddsock (a dog-like sock), Swoop (a bird) and Big Toggle (who can also change into Little Toggle), each of whom contributes their own special abilities to navigating the game's mind-boggling array of levels. These diverse and charming characters should make co-op play even more of a blast, and on top of this, the widely-praised creation aspects are back, including a new Power-up Creator, as well as the ability to play all your favourite created levels from the previous games in shiny new 1080p HD. With the promise of even more creative freedom and benefiting from the PS4's graphical capabilities, LittleBigPlanet 3 is one game that absolutely shouldn't disappoint this year. Release Date: November 18th Also Available On: PS3
