20 Greatest Commodore Amiga Games Of All Time

So many genre-starters make this one of the most important consoles in history.

For those who owned one, the Commodore Amiga home computer will always hold a special place in their heart. During the late eighties and early nineties, the various Amiga models that were realised during this time became the kings of the home computer market. Amiga fans will fondly remember the incredible gameplay of the titles released on the platform. It may have been an era when a computer€™s memory was measured in megabytes instead of gigabytes - graphics look positively antiquated by today€™s standards - and games could be spread across as many as fifteen floppy disks, but at the time, Commodore's machine was the best gaming computer you could own (sorry, Atari ST owners). Sadly, by the mid-1990s it was on its last legs. Due to the continuing rise in popularity of consoles, and with PCs and Macs starting to dominate the home computer market, we eventually waved goodbye forever to the Amiga and its catalogue of amazing games. Although it may be gone it€™s far from forgotten, with numerous releases today able to trace their lineage back to the Amiga€™s heyday. But out of all the classics that were released back then, which ones are considered the best? A difficult choice to make given the large number of brilliant, genre-defining titles that the platform saw, but only one can reign supreme.
