5 Reasons Why Bioshock Infinite Looks Awesome

bioshock_infinite_2013_game-1920x1200 It seems crazy to think that after all the delays and the hype, Bioshock Infinite is going to be hitting our shelves in a week€™s time. When the game debuted at E3 2010, it got a lot of attention and the trailer had people clamouring for answers: where was the game set, what was that giant mechanical man (and why was he throwing the protagonist out of a window?), and who is that mysterious girl? However, despite all this attention it wasn€™t until E3 2011 that I finally noticed the game. Since then the new demos and a slew of recent trailers have kept my anticipation levels at fever pitch and that was before I played the original Bioshock (seriously why are you reading this? Go play it, it's a classic). Anyway, if you€™re still here, I€™d like to give you 5 reasons why I believe Bioshock Infinite is going to be, as the title says, awesome and perhaps the game of 2013...

5. The Visuals

Bioshock infinite visuals Now graphics by no means make a game great, but they certainly add to the experience. The original Bioshock is 6 years old, but its strong artistic style still holds up today. However, Bioshock Infinite looks set to blow that game out of the water in terms of visuals. Just look at any screen shot or watch any trailer and the sweeping skylines and stunning lighting effects look gorgeous. The character models (especially Elizabeth) also have and exaggerated quirky charm to them that I love. I€™m very interested to see how the game will take this bright, open space, which is in complete contrast to the water logged Rapture and bring those dark themes and violence but more on that later. Suffice to say that Bioshock Infinite looks visually unique and stunning enough to hold up (like the original) for years to come.
