Arkham Origins: New Villain To Be Revealed Shortly

batman arkham origins The official Batman Arkham Twitter account has said they will be revealing a new Batman villain in two days' time (on Wednesday August 21st), with most of the evidence suggesting said bad-guy will be assassin number 5. Numerous titillating image clues (one of which you'll find below) have been shared through the account, sending hundreds of Batman fans into a speculative frenzy. Instagram has also proved a few extra hints at the characters identity, all of which can be seen here. Looking closely at the images we can see numerous points of interest that could point us to the right character, such as the incendiary grenades in image five, the jacket in images one and two, and 3, 4, and 6, which appear to be parts of some sort of jetpack and mask. However, the biggest clues come from the police sheet revealed for the character, as it both shows the criminal is 5ft 11 and that he/she was arrested for 'Theft From Buildings.' Therefore, using some of our journalistic investigatory skills, we can come to the following conclusion: Assuming the character is the same height as their profile stated in Arkham Asylum (you may recall that game provided details of all the major villains in a dossier), we can cut out many of those villains people online have speculated on, such as Prometheus and Two-Face, both of who are 6ft tall. Consequently, the candidates we are left we are The Great White Shark, Ratcatcher, Firefly, and Amadeus Arkham (highly unlikely). Saying that, some of the same characters listed in Arkham City did have different heights under their names (such as Clayface), so it's possible these candidates may not be correct. However, as the majority of the characters had the same height listed in both games, we'll assume for now the character to be revealed hasn't somehow grown/shrunk from the other titles, as the height clue is clearly there for a reason. Our money is on either Firefly or Ratcatcher, as these are the two that best match the clues. With that in mind it's possible the villain won't be an assassin, as neither of these two have history in that field, though there are still four killers left to be revealed and a build-up such as this does suggest the character will be more important than someone just appearing in a few Most Wanted missions. The only character it has been confirmed not to be is Catwoman, as @BatmanArkham tweeted, "...We're not revealing any feline related characters. #meow." Who do you think this character to be revealed will be? Will it be an assassin or a Most Wanted villain? Share your thoughts in the comments below. Profile 1
