Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag Confirmed

Black Flag Ubisoft confirmed last night that "Black Flag" is the fourth title in the Assassin's Creed series. It will feature a new time period and a new hero. Best of all, it will ship for Playstation 3 and XBox 360. Meaning that we will probably get this game soon. It is unclear weather or not it will also release on next-gen consoles, although it seems likely. Ubisoft posted the picture above with the text: "We confirm that Ubisoft will announce all the details of Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag on Monday March 4th at 5pm GMT." Meaning only around a week until we get some details on the game's setting, character and gameplay. The game is rumoured to be centered around pirates, sailing, and adventure. It has also been said that the game will take place before AC3 and be set primarily in the Caribbean. This means that AC3's great ship-sailing gameplay will be featured prominently in this game. And, all of these things are made clear in the game's first official image. Since it appears as though Desmond died at the end of AC3, it is a mystery who will be entering the animus this time. We don't have any more details on the game as of now, but in a week's time we will know more.
