August 2013 EU PlayStation Plus Games Revealed

PlayStation A leaked image on the web has revealed next month€™s EU free PS-Plus titles will include DMC and Spec Ops: The Line for PS3, and New Little King€™s Story for PS Vita, along with another PS Vita game that has not been identified (but is believed to be a PSN title). Sony have really upped the quality of games recently, no doubt in an attempt to gain brand-loyalty in preparation for their upcoming PS4 release. The last few months have seen Hitman: Absolution, Battlefield 3, Uncharted 3, XCOM: Enemy Unknown, and Demon€™s Souls, all of which have proven extremely popular in their respective genres, yet Sony is willing to give them away for next to nothing! Now Spec Ops: The Line joins this proud gallery of quality gaming. A title that redefined the FPS genre, portraying war realistically rather than just having the yay-aren€™t-you-great-now-go-kill-that-guy feeling most of those games try to provide . It was also voted game of the year by numerous journalists, including Ben Croshaw (aka. Yahtzee €˜Zero Punctuation€™ Croshaw), making it a notable game for PS Plus to be boasting. Alongside this is DMC, the controversial game from February this year that annoyed thousands of fanboys by redesigning the lead character. This is another hit on Microsoft, whose attempt to counter Sony€™s monthly free games consisted entirely of releasing two three year old games as a one-time offer for Gold members, though whether it€™ll make any difference to Xbox One sales in the long-term is doubtful.
