WARNING: This article discusses MAJOR spoilers from the game, so if you haven’t finished it or have yet to start, you might want to reconsider watching this!
With Arkham City having been available for over a month now, it’s safe to assume that many eager gamers have already stormed through the main story and side quests, collecting trophies and solving riddles as they go in their quest for 100% completion. At the time of writing, I have the majority of riddles to solve and then my journey through the twisted, crumbling section of Gotham City that plays host to her most infamous residents shall be finished. So it’s also safe to assume that many of us have seen the dark and poetic demise of The Joker, finally succumbing to the ravages of the Titan formula he injected himself with at the end of Arkham Asylum. It felt like the logical conclusion to both The Joker and the game series, bringing things fully circle and tying up all the loose ends from both games.
Except for the fact that this isn’t the end. Despite the game’s main story suggesting the end of the journey, certain side stories hit at and set the stage for another foray into this game series’ universe. And with Arkham City being just as critically and financially successful as its predecessor, it is inevitable that Warner Brothers Interactive will push for a trilogy, just as their movie studio counterparts did with the Christopher Nolan additions to the Batman franchise.
But, after a game as big and absorbing as City, where and what is there left for Roocksteady Studios and Arkham series writer and co-creator of Batman: The Animated Series (which the games are a continuation of) Paul Dini to go? Will they take a cue from Nintendo’s Mario franchise and go to Arkham World, or even Arkham Universe? Could the climax be Batman taking on Darkseid in the vacuum of space to decide the fate of the earth?
While that might be an interesting spectacle to behold at some point, it is highly unlikely that Dini and co will have such flights of fancy in mind for Arkham 3. Nevertheless there are a few juicy teasers for things to come hidden in the alleyways and run down buildings of Arkham, and while they are not quite as subtle as the well hidden blueprints in Arkham Asylum, they are far more cryptic. Which this in mind, here are some possible storylines and plot points in Arkham 3, at least in the mind of this writer.

I don’t know about anyone else, but I was disappointed the man who was manipulating Strange turned out to be Ra’s. If that was his appearance in the game it’d be a great twist, but it wasn’t and didn’t make a great deal of sense he’d have the power that Strange spoke of. I expected Lex Luthor – which would be a good lead into a Superman game.
There’s a wealth of characters still not explored. Not all will be relevant (some are pretty useless tbh) but there’s: Prometheus, Killer Moth, Man-Bat, Deathstroke, Firefly, Ventriloquist, Great White. Heck, you may be able to use some of the mafia figureheads.
I’d hope to see Two-Face get a larger role, and most certainly a more prominent Black Mask (especially going down the mobster & mafia route). Another Robin appearance, maybe Nightwing too (probably in some sort of co-op mode).
I was dissapointed that Two Face wasn’t a bigger threat in the game. It was almost a walk on part. I would love to see him as a major threat next time.
Out of the villains we’ve yet to see, personally I would love to see Jeremiah Arkham and James Gordon.
I couldn’t agree with you more on all parts except the Lex Luthor one. I want to see a great superman game as much as anyone, but not riding of the sucess of batman. I’m sick of superman being underated

really, andy…a superman game? superman returns was THE worst game I played in a long time. I think if they put batman and superman together it would be a bad idea. The only thing that would make sense is if they built up to a justice league game.
Just as a note, deathstroke was in arkham city and as a sidequest you had to stop him from assassinating important political prisoners, and you trap him in a hanging trolley at the end

i think that joker is alive. at the end of the game when the explosion goes and batman blacks out i think joker and clayface switched again and joker already had some of the cure.
I agree with many of these predictions and I have a few of my own.
I don’t think Ra’s will be making a return. He had his time to shine in Arkham City as the behind-the-scenes main villain. What i do anticipate, however, is an alliance between Hush and Scarecrow.
I say it’s plausible that Hush patched Scarecrow up after he got mauled by Croc and the two formed an alliance. There are fear gas containers in Hush’s hideout, not to mention cockroaches and what appear to be crow feathers on the ground. Also the same gas containers appear in one of the Riddler’s rooms. Plus the Riddler was said to be working with Black Mask as of his defeat by Batman. Do i detect a four-way alliance?
Plus Riddler could’ve been the mind behind Scarecrow’s elaborate codes.
Two-Face now controls all of the gangs of Arkham City. I’ll bet he’ll have something to do in the sequel.
If Azrael is going to be in the sequel, I see potential for Bane to make an appearance and get in a fight with him.
Poison Ivy’s promise to get back at the people of Gotham in the Catwoman mission leaves potential for her to make a comeback too.
I hadn’t thought of Darkseid. That’d be an amazing concept.

Lex Luthor? God no! This is a Batman game. Al Ghul was PERFECT and it leads to Talia and the League of Assassins. We don’t WANT superman in this game. His overpowered existence screws up everything. There are already superman games out there for you to play.
So the Joker is obviously not dead. But that DOES NOT mean he’s going to be in the next game. Rocksteady is making quite the profit, and this is a successful series, so I think the joker can sit out for a game. He’s not the only badass character and there’s a lot more storylines that can be infused to make an awesome game. Come on, guys! The Joker deserves a break.
Alex, Ra’ isn’t dead because you obviously know that when he dies, he is on the Arkham City sign. But after you beat the game, when you go back to that area, Ra’ is gone but his sword is still there.
Joker had the cure in his possesion for hours heres what I think happened. I believe joker had help from more than once Clayface Im speculating the real Joker had one of the Clayfaces cover his body it allowed him too fake his death Batman or doctors wouldnt have been able too detect it So not only was the joker cured he allowed Batman too carry him right out of Arkham city & freed him in the process would be The Ultimate Prank on Batman
the top 5 villains are highly likely to be Joker, Harley, Ra’s Al Ghul, Scarecrow, and Hush,and poison ivy

Well, Azrael did say Gotham will burn. Perhaps he is alluding to Firefly.
Another villain I would like to see would be Owlman (not the Raymond Jr. one, the Earth-3 alternate Batman). I think a battle with him would be very interesting. Also, including Superman might work, as they could make him into a Fear Gas-Induced boss fight.
I know this is old and probly won’t be seen but the joker never died rewatch the final cut scene when Thalia drops the cure it is full after batman gets it back from clay face it’s still full and in his left hand then the explosion he awakes and the cure is half full and in his right hand

i’ve heard harley quinn is gonna restore the joker with the lazarus pit (but was basiclly destroyed).
I’ve also heard that somehow all the prisnors of arkham and black gate will be released and attacks gotham city!

Even though the joker is dead batman is too just in a different way. Batman will go insane with out joker. He was insane while Joker was alive too………. Joker just made him seem normal. Batman is as sad as Harley. And Alex, I believe these ideas would make a great third game. But just thought id give you my thought which is batman goes crazy and tries to live with it while taking out all these goons!
Also Two Face? Kept hearing his goons saying near the end of the game that he was coming back, there was a turf war between him and Penguin.
That would be an interesing plot but something tells me that would only be a background plot. They were both used sparingly in City.
I am a die-hard batman fan, and video game or not, true fans know that villians never trully die, and I have every belief that Joker is not dead, even considering all signs that point to it. Who says that their is another Lazarus Pit that R’as has in Gotham that Harley gains access to in order to resurrect the Clown Prince, or the Joker simply faked his death and used the Titan disease as a cover for his death…all I know is that he will be back with many other villians who have made their presence for a sequel
My guess is that the next game will be called batman: arkham unleashed. With joker jr. actually being a clone of joker that was put into Harley as a surrogate mother, with Titan, he will mature very quickly, and also, did I mention they kept jokers memories? Lol sounds far fetched. Yea so they put the memories into joker jr. Who is just about 17. Oh and his voice is different because Ed younger. Anyways so he basically IS joker except more intelligent and more charismatic. He takes control of arkham, works with the other villains, breaks through arkham city and launches an attack on gotham. All the the league of assassins revive rahs al ghoul and talia with a new small Lazarus pit. Talia becomes more ruthless and cold hearted because of the pit. They are also attacking Gotham by trying to kill the villains, and cops are trying to stop both. Robin and batman are in the middle of this and nightwing gets called in from bludhaven to help. Kinda stupid story, but playing as all three bat guys would be cool. Plus warner bros is gonna find a way to bring back the joker, I guarantee it
I like it bro except they should add all villains in the bios in Arkham asylum and do a batman/red hood thing like the batman/catwoman thing like in AC and they should also have bat woman and batgirl in it they would be a great addition
I don’t believe the Joker is dead. No-one usually dies except small insignificant henchmen. There is certainly a Joker plot to be had…first the son and then the old man coming back to meet him? I certainly hope so. Great article!
You guys do realize that the Joker really is dead. Mark Hammill said that after Arkham City, He was done playing the Joker. They aren’t just gonna replace the actor that portrayed him on a continuation of the animated series. In this Batman universe, the Joker is probably finally dead. They will probably combine the Harley and Scarecrow stories. Maybe. Point is, they killed off the Joker for a reason, most likely because Mark was retiring his rendition.

Hey! sorry I’m a little late into this conversation, and I don’t know if anyone will see this, but I just got/finished Arkham City and have already played Arkham asylum and would just like to say that I agree with you that the next game should be “Arkham Unleashed.” I think it would be a great way to end the series.(eventhough I hope it continues for a couple more rounds, which might not happen.) There are just so many villains to use! and if any of the truely good ones with fantastic back stories are put into the next game, all hell will be unleashed in Arkam! which is why I think it is a very dark and mysterious title. And thats what I love about Batman! Thanks for your time guys, just thought I’d share my bit. I love this series and can’t wait to see what’s in store next game! Batman Forever

Umm, Asad? Yeah the whole Joker jr. thing would be nice and all but the only think is, is that in the Harley Quinn’s Revenge DLC there are some pregnancy tests around a crib and they all come up positive. It appears that the test in the Steel Mill was a false positive.

Thanks a lot for the synopsis Mr.McKay. I read all of the Batman issues and have all of the graphic novels from 1988 up through 2001. I even have an original leather bound issue of Frank Miller’s “The Dark Knight”. As you can tell I was a very avid Batman fan:) I never played much of Arkham Asylum. My brother is a huge video game guy and when he got Arkham City he told me that I had to play it. He was right. I’ve played many games in my 33 years and AC did not in any way disappoint me. Best game i’ve ever played and the fact that the bar is set so high for a game with Batman as the main player really speaks volumes about RockSteady and everyone involved. I really enjoyed your synopsis on the sequel. I remember the “No mans land” story arc and I think it would be so much fun for that component to be added into this game verse. A person can already feel the urgency and feeling of the walls crushing in on Batman and Rocksteady ended the game perfectly by not giving anything away and also by not doing a standard cliffhanger that is completely unsatisfying. I think your ideas about the sequel are awesome and since the first two games have been such mega hits, I think we will all be treated to the ultimate in Batman experiences next time around. I hope they take all the time they want in making this game, it’s gonna BE EPIC!

Also something you didnot catch Alex Mckay was that at the end of the credits Harley sang. “Hush little baby dont say a word, mamma´s gonna kill for you the whole damn world” which preety much confirms that harley is pregnant with the Jokers child. And if the child was conceived in the six momths between the evnts of Arkham Asylum and Arkham city then it would be obvious that she had a baby bump as in the game she was wearing a outfit showing her lower torso :)

I think Hush may be connected to Harley somehow but in Harley Quinn’s Revenge there are negative pregnancy tests around the cot. Is the cot the same one as used in Hush’s lair? If it is, then we’ll known there’s a connection. I also see that Hush seems to be connected to the Scarecrow. Will Scarecrow be the antagonist in the next game? I hope so.
I’m have been dying for a batman beyond anything, i’m playing with the beyond skin right now and they made it look so beastly…Batman Beyond was an amazing cartoon that got cut short. I think Terry was an amazing replacement and i would love to maybe see Joker’s kid fight Batman Beyond….just an idea

As far as a 3rd game goes i think they need to let you have all of Gotham City to roam around throw in the batmobile and the cave etc just anything that was missing i loved the game however the open world was slightly disappointing having the center part blocked off that kind of defeats the purpose of free roam, but i think the 3rd game should be all of gotham and no limitations
I agree I hated how there would be a huge wall blocking you from entering gotham but also I think a hint for the next game is that if you got the cat woman dlc and you chose to take the money and leave batman to die you exited the vault and it said gotham city.
If you noticed in the end, Clayface falls into the Lazarus pit and begins to thaw. I wonder if the joker Batman carried out was really Clayface looking to escape?

Well clayface DID fool Batman in the beginning of the story/game so I agree with Dave that Clayface could have fooled him. And plus clayface can make it look like his heart stopped and what-not because he can recreate it to just look like it but in reality he wouldnt actually be dead.
There was also an easter egg near Harley’s old outfit, a pregnancy test stick with a plus sign.

I am a massive fan of the games. Now what I would think is that maybe Vicky Vale would also have a bigger part in the next one because in the older movie Bruce Wayne started seeing her maybe they will go back to that highly unlikely though. Also I think BlackMask will be in the next game because he has been mentioned on numerous occasions in Arkham City and a little bit in Asylum. I would love to get your opinion on the BlackMask thing and the coordinates for the Scarecrow thing maybe The Order of Saint Dumas will end up aiding Batman or at least giving him “hints” to continue on against Scarecrow, Quinn and The League of Shadows

As far as the whole Joker’s dead thing, I have this to say. Joker managed to get a minuscule amount of the antidote off the floor, but perhaps it was enough to save him. Another thing is that Joker was pulling all sorts of tricks with Clayface, and the end showed him being carried right into the heart of Gotham. Something tells me that Joker is going to have the last laugh on this matter, although Hamill will likely not return since he was reluctant to come back for Arkham City. And how cool would it be for Joker to show up out of nowhere in the middle of the game?
As for this whole “child of Joker” stuff, I don’t think that will in any way make a good plot on it’s own. The game would have to take place several years in the future and I don’t think RS will turn the franchise into Batman Beyond. The Harley after revenge idea is solid and likely, though I doubt the child will take part in it.
I think the game should take place in Gotham, but before and during a total siege by the criminals, with civilians still living there and the city still functioning as normal. The League of Assassins idea is very cool because it is so Batman Beginsy. But the villain I want to see at the center of it is Scarecrow, totally pissed, not insane but even more maniacal, physically f**ked up from his tangle with Croc and even more emaciated. I think he needs to have a plot so evil that it’s on par with Joker’s greatest moments. Another thing that needs to be played out more is the turf war, and I think Scarecrow should actually organize a gang/cult this time around.

I think Joker faked his death. No one really knows what happened to clayface after he fell in the Lazarus pit. Could he have faked another Joker? Why would Joker be stupid enough to stab Batman in the arm carrying the antidote? He is smarter than that. And did anyone notice when Batman was knocked out he had the antidote in his left hand, but when he woke up, it was in his right hand. I think this was more of Joker’s trickery!
next game should be able to roam all of gotham. have black mask vs. two face and their gangs in gotham city maybe with penguin’s crew would be interesting to see and would be a nice subplot with batman and even robin (or catwoman) handling this part of the story. main plot will have to have something with harley and joker, maybe conspiring with scarecrow and the broker (maybe joker isn’t dead and the broker found a way to get joker out of arkham city and fake his death?)also talia will most likely be back with the league of assassins against mysterious azrael and order of st dumas. and hush has to be in the sequel. that side quest was too mysterious not to be included in the next game
I would love to see Harley get back at Batman and hopefully this time she can fight well and also i myself has seen Harley’s pregnatcy test on top of that you still have Catwoman roaming around.I have to just put it out there what ever happend to Batgirl if you seen THE GAMERS AWARD 2011 Joker wins it and in his hands he is holding a script that says on it ARKHAM WORLD so if you do not beleive me look it up ok please look at it to all those Batman fans waiting for a sequal.I just hope that they add more villains bye guys
Well the thing with Batgirl is that Arkham City takes place after her time, as Barbara Gordon (aka Batgirl) is in her role as Oracle in Arkham City. But I would love to see Jim Gordon have a bigger role in a sequel, and a bit more of Alfred.
As for bringing the Al Ghuls back with some other form of Lazarus Pit, I can see that happening because of Talia’s relationship (and baby) with Bruce. Babies might be an appropriate ending to a sequel, with Batman and Joker’s babies surfacing.
guyz ,my theory is that , batman had the cure in his left hand when he drank it. after he fell down he became unconscious and when woke up the cure was in his right had . so i think that joker did take the cure and took some of it . and then clayface was the one who acted to die.

i think it would be cool 2 be able to have a game based on the entire city of gotham. be lik a nvr ending game. have the options of playing as batman, robin, nightwing and so on and so forth. access 2 the batmobile, and all his stuff. and tons of DLC

I thought this game was amazing and I would have loved an appearance of Jason Todd, and a useable batmobile, but they may be better for the next game. I also think that the return of scarecrow and him useing fear gas to destroy gotham and turn the citizens mad and destroying gotham. Which I think would be a great thing to base the third game on, and it would show the prophecy come true said by azrael.
I think I found a wee mishap in the game.
In the deadshot side mission you find a pda that hugo strange gave to deadshot of the people strange wants him to assasinate. But the next three targets are ryder, then bruce wayne, then batman. But strange knows bruce wayne is batman, so why would he include the third target?
Maybe Strange didn’t know wether or not that Batman would get his suit and wanted to make sure Deadshot got rid of him.

how about in the next game batman is not in it (at least not in it much), like in Knightfall batman is defeated and nightwing and robin must save everything

Actually when batman and darksied get into it, batman is sent into another dimention and nightwing, (dick grayson) takes batmans place as batman and damien, (Bruce Waynes) becomes the final robin, but they do find bruce later on in the DC comics
Migue, the current Robin “Tim Drake” is actually pretty much a badass in his own right and doesn’t act as a side kick as much as a fellow vigilante. They don’t need to get rid of Batman, just have side missions not related to the story where you can pick a Batman ally (or Batman) and just go around saving Gotham citizens and stopping crime. That way you can have different fighting styles able to be played.
They should at least let you have free-roam with Robin and Nightwing because you can have free-roam with Catwoman and Batman but i felt like Robin and Nightwing were very contained and you couldnt do much with them at all. They should also maybe make a co-op option where you can play as Batman and Robin, Batman and Nightwing, Batman and Catwoman, Robin and Nightwing, etc.

In Asylum, Scarecrow’s fear toxin messed with the player as well, not just Batman. Remember the glitch that made you think the game malfunctioned? It was the final level with Scarecrow as a boss. The games have the effect to mess with the player and breaks the fourth wall. I could see them having done this with Joker’s death, the clown prince having tricked the players, not only Batman. Then he reappears, showing EVERYONE (both in the game and the players themselves) that he’s had the last laugh.
When that first happened I freaked out and thought something may have been wrong with the disc. Very clever, messing with not only the character but also the player.

Strange was just doubling his chances of killing Batman/Bruce. Plus Deadshot does not know that Bruce is Batman so he will go after each equally as hard. It makes sense story wise for Strange to do this.

When I got the game back in october I was shocked at the fact that they killed off the joker, batman’s archenemy. How do we know that while batman was fighting clayface joker and the joker thugs that talia al ghul didn’t show joker the lazerous pit? Also if harley really is pregnant with joker’s son what if he got her pregnant while the titan was still in him? If that is the case it could possibly cause him to mature very rapidly to the point where he could pass for a clone of the joker. Also something that caught my attention was that azrael said “gotham will burn” which points that the sequal could be in gotham and would be called batman: gotham city. One thing is sure, the sequal is gonna be one helluva game.

Everyone is already thinking about the next instalment from rocksteady for batman, most are talking about the return of scarecrow and croc with some missing titan along with harley’s pregnacy and obviously that the joker is not dead and will return, i personally cant see these working and belive rocksteady know this as they obviously know what there doin (awsome game) so here’s what i’m thinkin and hoping for form rocksteady for the next instalment. A prequel, along the lines of “batman year one”

You start of with nothing but anger and a ski mask picking fights with muggers on street corners in the slums as bruce and work your way up unlocking gadgets and better combat as you go along becoming batman, more reason to unlock them all again than if it was continued from arkham city as you would already have them.
Rocksteady have got the machanics compleatly spot on so no need to touch them, Obviously a bigger play ground, “BATMAN-GOTHAM CITY” maybe?

To help this discussion, I would like to set two things straight.
1. The most probable name for the sequel is “Arkham World”, this was announced at the 2011 VGA’s during a small clip of joker accepting his award for best character. He was holding a script that said “arkham world” and as he threw it away he said “spoilers” A clue that supports this is Ra’s Al Ghul’s plan to apply his arkham city concept across the world. Players could possible take the batwing to various locations across the world such as Blüdhaven, maybe even Keystone or Metropolis.
2. Mark Hamill never said he was done as the joker. He later released at another press conference that he was misinterpreted, he had daid that the plot of arkham asylum was so good that when arkham city was even better, he didn’t think anything good top the plot. He may return as the joker yet again, assuming the plot is even better than AC which knowing Rocksteady is very likely.
As far as the theories as to what the next game will be, I especially like the whole scarecrow idea. Having him back would MAKE the third game, hopefully in a more intricate and less “dream like” fashion. I would also really like to see Hush as the main villain, after completing his side missions I knew he would have to have a part in the next game. You would have to stop him from lurking around the city, wreaking havok as Bruce Wayne.
I also agree with the need for total freedom in exploration, especially if the batmobile comes into play. Maybe even a coop mode?
Jekyll86′s idea is also really cool, but as much as I would love this as a game by Rocksteady, they’ve put too many clues and plot points of the third game into play to ignore them all by going to the past.

I think the joker is not dead at all, the way they should open the beginning of the game is to be a setting in the morgue of arkham city, a doctor decides to find out what killed him by cutting him open by using a saw blade, the doctor gets the saw blade turns it on starts to walk to jokers body then when the doctor stands by the body, the joker will wake up, do his evil laugh, takes the saw blade from the doctor,then it will show the doctor’s reaction in shock doesn’t know whats going on then the joker walks to the doctor with the saw blade, says a quote, evil laugh, then it will black out with silence, that has the doctor screaming while the saw blade is on, then the Joker says “I am coming for you batman, HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, then the opening credits to the next batman game title.
Good article. Unlike most people on here, I do think that the Joker is actually dead. At least I hope he is. I love the character as much as everyone else, but I think to bring him back like he is Freddy Kruger or Jason Voorhies takes away from the integrity of the story and the integrity of the surprise ending in AC. As far as who and what to do from here, I can only imagine. The main thing I hope for is for the game to move out into Gotham. It needs to be bigger! They need to make it a true “open world” a la Liberty City. Make the gameplay non-linear and I would like to see them incorporate Bruce Wayne in the game. Make us have to juggle the life if the Billionaire playboy with the caped crusader, much like Niko Belic juggled his interpersonal friendships/relationships with everything else going on in Liberty City.
Didnt at some point in the game, you overhear guards talking about how “It’s not even this bad in ______” I dont remember the name of that city, but what if THAT is the next place that the Batman Games may be heading?

I am a die-hard Batman fan, and both games were great.
I definitely believe that a sequel is in the works, simply because of all these dramatic events (Ra’s “death”, Strange’s death, Joker’s “death”, Robin’s small cameo, Harley’s pregnancy etc).
There’s no way that the Joker is dead. I agree with others about henchmen and all dieing but they would never kill off a major character, especially Joker.
I was a bit disappointed with Two-Face’s appearance. I was hoping for more of a larger impact involving Batman instead of Catwoman. Same goes for Ivy.
The Deadshot side-missions were great. Taking him down was too easy, it would’ve been better if it were different/harder.
I don’t know what to say about Harley and the pregnancy. Oh well.

I think the next one should have some none interactive JLA cameos, like we had with robin (or The Punisher and Human Torch in the PS1 Spiderman games). If it was in Gotham itself it could have an opening similar to the Penguins goons intro from Batman Returns… including Christopher Walken as Max Shrek XD

Dude there is no way there will ever be a good superman game. It would either be rediculously easy, every thug would magically have a super rare piece of kryptonite from a different planet, or they would take his invulnerability away altogether. All of the above would ruin the superman experience intirly. I love superman but there will never be a good superman game as much as I would like there to be one.

This game is also being developed for the wii u. Like resident evil 4 they may include extra features etc within this version of the game so I think that’s worth a look at as well – possibly.

The Joker can’t be dead. Yall ever watch Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker? In that movie the REAL Joker dies from Tim Drake killing him after the Joker made him crazy. Mark Hamill and Kevin Conroy voiced their characters in that movie so they wouldn’t let them change drastic things like this in Batman: Arkham City. There has to be a connection so they most definately r bringing the Joker back Cuz if they don’t: either they’re throwing batman beyond story out in the trash or they’re messing up the storyline to things :(

Alright so this whats gonna happen. The games gonna be called Batman: City of Terror. The opening starts with Batman hunting down Hush in Gotham City. And this will be the first thing u have to do. However, when Batman’s in the outer parts of Gotham, he learns that Scarecrow has unleashed his toxin in parts of Gotham. Also the Killer Croc, Poison Ivy, Black Mask, Bane, Two-Face, and The Penguin are running rampant in different parts of Gotham. Then the League of Assassins secretly revive Ra’s and Talia. Now don’t think I haven’t forgotten about Harley Quinn and The Joker. Yes, I said the Joker and this is why, and I think someone said something similar to this a few posts before me. Joker has to come back because he’s supposed to die from Tim Drake shooting a poison stake into him. Because I remember watching this interview of Sefton Hill (Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City Game Director) say that the games take place after the Animated Series and The Animated Series leads to Batman Beyond. So the JOKER CAN’T BE DEAD. I’m thinking that Harley Quinn takes all the Joker Henchman to take control the smaller Lazarus Pit after Talia and Ra’s are revived. And yes I know that Harley is pregnant but that won’t be something of importance in the game because her kid, whether it’s a boy or girl, ends up having two daughters, Dee Dee. And I say this cuz at the end of Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker, Dee Dee gets bailed out by “Nana Harley.” Lastly I think the next game is going to lead to the apocalypse and we’re probably gonna have some more Azrael side missions. I’m not sure what exactly is going to happen in the next game, but whatever’s gonna happen, it’s gonna be amazing!
Gotham City should be the game where u get to go to Arkham Asylum and Arkham City, and even go to Wayne Manor+ Batcave.
I found evidence that Harley may be pregnant, or given birth. Disposed on the ground in the managers office at Sionis industrial area is a pregnancy test reading positive (located left of Quinn’s old suit).
Also, at the end of the credits you can hear Harley singing creepily a lullaby.
This would be a great new lead to the next game.

What I truly hope is that you will be able to glide and run around in Gotham. I would also like to have a new standard batsuit. The one he is wearing in AA and AC looks more or less like the one Adam West wore in the television series from the 60′s, but with a more modern look. They’ve made a realistic and cool suit for Robin, that suit would fit in one of the Nolan’s films, so why don’t they give batman a new one?
I would like to see more of Robin and Nightwing, maybe as playable characters in the storyline. Be able to drive the batmobile or the batwing. More predator moments in the storyline!
I gotta point out how many criminals mentioned moving to Bludhaven if that’s Nightwing’s city then maybe him and Batman have a sort of co-op thing. Also if they go that far maybe they can have all 3 of the main Robins in the next one (Dick Gracin, Jason Todd, and Tim Drake). I feel the need to point out that there use to be more than one Lazarus pit. The only real thing I would change is the solo thing even batman wasn’t alone all the time.
I think the next step should be something like “Batman: Arkham Beyond” where you get to play as the new Batman! Think of the possiblities: all the new high-tech gadgets of the future, the faster and more agile combat style of Terry, villans like Inque and Blight, the dark but technologically advanced setting of Neo-Gotham, it would totally badass!
I have a theory, that the Joker might actually make a reappearance in the next game in the Arkham series. I think this, because there are indications that there are multiple Lazarus Pits hidden around the world, especially seeing as Batman tells Oracle that Ra’s Al Ghul will have to get to a Lazarus Pit when he fell from Wonder Tower and that when the game is finished his body is gone. Although, the only person who would take the Joker to one is Harley and she doesn’t know about Lazarus Pits or the League of Assassins. Or, Ra’s may take him, because he could consider him a strong ally and could help in cleansing the world back to its former glory… If you can’t tell I just REALLY want Mark Hamill and the Joker back.
I definitely agree that it would be great if Mark Hamill would reprise his role as joker for a third game. I think that even if he doesnt, a great way of putting joker in the next game is Hush as a central villain. Hush impersonates Bruce Wayne and then also commits joker-style crimes around gotham. Ultimately, Bruce Wayne is framed for these and is dubbed the “new Joker”. His assets are frozen (allowing for us to earn gadgets back that he may have lost?) and he goes into hiding. the others (nightwing, robin, maybe catwoman, and possibly batgirl II?) help out. Meanwhile perhaps scarecrow launches his highly anticipated city of terror scheme. All this lets Azrael come into the fold too. Please let me know what you all think, would love to know if y’all think this plausible
I really do hope that they make another game, but I was thinking something along the lines of instead of sticking with Arkham, maybe remove the prison walls and go with Gotham City. I am a huge Batman fan, anyone I know will tell you the same. The two Batman games were my favorite games of all times. Besides, I really want to know what happens to Scarecrow.
The joker played dead in the beginning of the game and clay face jumped on Batmans back. The real joker was sitting in the chair scanned as deceased by batman. When batman wakes up he is in the chair and the real joker talks to him. They even show it in flash back at the end of the game that he was jumped by a non sick joker.
In my opinion, the game directors should make an entire game based not on Arkham, but a prologue to everything. Like, a Year One, or a Batman Begins. The title would be something like BATMAN: ONE. That would imply either earth one or year one. Like, what if Arkham never happened? But, maybe, in that same idea, what if they just had a game where there was no real story? It’d be a first, and, you choose the missions you do, and they could add online stuff weekly or something. Cameos, Boss battles, and no stopping the interrogations at riddler goons. Maybe a couple slots of alternate costumes, and some custom costumes. And, bring back the extra characters, like batgirl, night wing, robin, and red hood. That would be like BATMAN: GOTHAM CITY. Another cool thing that I think you should be able to do with your gadgets is put the explosives gel on your knuckles like in arkham asylum when you finish the joker
Arkham city prison is abolished and all prisoners are sent to other prisons but the prisons are overflowing and are releasing non violent offenders but in the chaos of all this the prisoners break out and batman has to deal with this while hush assumes Bruce Wayne’s identity. The mafia explodes and the black mask is in a gang war with penguin. The joker is dead and Harley Quinn has completely lost it, scarcrow and azrael are plotting to destroy Gotham in a string of terrorist attacks and killer croc is killing and eating people in the sewers and harbors. There are riots by prisoners and the police are busy and military is called in. Cat woman is planning a huge heist.
In this one batman is customizable and weapon choices are endless and customizable with weapons that can knock people out in one hit and the manor is home base.

I think scarecrow was helping joker secretly in arkham city shipping joker’s blood and making the titan formula to ship into gotham and joker gave him one of his gangers to reserch on from the easter egg boat.
There are loads of possibilities, especially if playing the mob angle or the League of Assassin angle.
As for the setting, I’d say – Give Gotham time to recuperate. Set it maybe a year or so after City. Let Tim have his world-travels and establish him as Red Robin, get Damian as Robin and bring in Jason as Red Hood. All three of them have significant ties to the League in this setup.
Then there’s the mob: Jason couldn’t be more relevant – Have him as a recurring enemy for the first half of the game, have him as a reluctant ally for the rest. Dick’s pretty experienced around gangs from his time in Blüdhaven as well.
Going from the size of City, blowing up Gotham and the plot to such size that the bird-boys are necessary shouldn’t be that hard, and multiple characters were a huge success in the challenge mode already.

all I know is that batman & the joker have been together for over 50 years & him not being in the next will very much disappoint the long time fans of the batman world. so having joker in it again would just belike all the other time that he died. it would be the greatest joke that the joker would of ever done. but it probably won’t happen which is very disappointing but I would just pay mark hamil more money because he is joker which ever way you wanna turn it. If he leaves so does that joker. I just wanna see him in the next game, along with ever other person on this planet. so stop with all the new ideasd & go with the basics because joker & batman are one, take away either of them is like taking a right leg away from a moving body, it won’t work.
I played and found something odd. before batman threw sword toward joker he had cure on the right? right? than how come when he wakes up its onthe left? Here is how. seeing how scarecrows lab is near jokers territory right? so he colleberated with scarecrow and used small amount of feartoxin on his own followers include harley. got the batman when he knock him out first time. because joker let batman know that he is dieing sick. it plants idea of joker dieing. and by threating Gothom he sents Batman to find cure. at the end when lazarous plan fail he either was awake or wakeup early than batman. after having little sip of cure he puts on batmans left hand and asks clayface or do it himself pretend to die. this is where toxin kicks in and every joker gang batman’s fear come true. For joker gang loosing joker is worst fear. for batman his archy enemy dieing fighting him because remember batman solely swear that he will never kill or responsible for a death. after fooling everyone he sneaks out from arkham city by hole on the wall or carryed out by batman with heart stopping drug in his system. he sneaks out from odtopsy lab.
I hope clayface comes back. and i heard hush patched scarecrow back together
ok so I think for the next batman game you should be allowed to play as the criminals like Two Face, Mr. Freeze, Scarecrow, and maybe even Joker. You would wreck havock on Gotham City. You would have the batman story line and the evil story line. Like what if Batman died. In the batman one you would save Gotham, but in the criminal one you would destroy it. Its just my opinion.

i think it would be cool if the joker did die but he left plans for all the major villains (black mask, penguin, bane, two face, etc). The game would take place about a year after AC. 6 months after AC everyone escapes thanks to the plans and some of the gangs follow the jokers plans and others actively defy them. That creates a base for a gang war where black mask is gaining power within the gcpd so you don’t know who you can trust. Harley is all crazy pregnant bitch and she is just destroying everything she can so All the gangs could have tons of new weapons – rocket launchers, true machine guns, better grenades. Gotham is crumbling and batman must try to stop the jokers plans which could result in the destruction of gotham. At the same time scarecrows fear gas is everywhere- in the gangs, on the streets, and its making people crazy so there are random attacks you have to look out for. The story could also somehow revolve on the jokers true identity and in the end he is actually alive. Also it could have batman descending into madness and at end he gives up and embraces his own insanity. There could be room for the batmobile and batplane and new/ better gadgets such as projectile explosives, some wall crawl thing, sleeping darts, cutting tool. Also there would be batsuit improvements that you can actually see, like armor plates, shock absorption and kinetic storage. All the side-missions could carry over and the riddler is collaborating with everyone so there are random riddler rooms all over and like 1000 riddles. As for boss fights i really liked the mr. freeze fight because it was so different and the ra’s fight so if RS can keep the bosses different from each other its all good.

Unlike all of you, i’m not the biggest bat man fan ever. But even i can see that mister J’s not dead. NO WAY. He’s to smart. The whole antidote in the right hand then the left hand thing, thats what trully shows Jokers still alive. And as for Harley’s child, from what it sounds like i think it’s a girl. and if it is a boy then i think it will be all drugged up on Titan and will mature very fast. But i still dont think the kid will play a big role in the next game. I think Scarecrow will be the main antagonist. Theres no way he wont be. also, due to all the clues, and the lack of appearance, Two face will occur more frequently. Batman will most likely fight off these villains for awhile then something big will come up and there will be a series of events that will eventually lead to Jokers appearance. We will think some like two face is in charge then… BAM. Jokers back in action. There are honestly too many possibilities to choose from. Very good article my man. Four years after the events of AC. Batman has become more of a consistent thing, now that Bruce Wayne has been accused of murder and mutilation. We see more of a older Bruce/Bats, shout out to Dark Knight Returns. Tim Drake(now Red Robin, like in an Earth Two suit, minus flight wings, ’cause that just ain’t happening) has just revealed his identity to Stephanie Brown, who also became Batgirl(but, uses a spoiler like suit, only with Bat ears and a symbol). Nightwing has to come to Gotham to take over Wayne Enterprises, due to Wayne’s “disappearance”. Oracle has lost her disability, since Grayson has spent a small fraction of the Wayne fortune for a exolegs. And, Talia left a little “parting gift”(for those who haven’t found a brain yet, I mean Damian Wayne… aka Robin) Ras’ Al Ghul and Talia have rezzurected, with Jason Todd.(I’m planning a long story) Joker has revealed his living by some complex backstory, including his plan to expand the “Corrupt Clown Royale”(clown prince of crime, get it?) with the birth of Dee and Dee. Harley is now so ecstatic that her Puddin’ is alive and well that she’s taken the liberty of teaming up with Ivy and Catwoman on a “shopping spree”(theft) and has left the dirty house work to Joker. Scarecrow is planning to burn Gotham to the ground, and Azreal is funding it(but the “Suit of Sorrows” requires him to keep his soul pure, so, to keep from dying, he promises the Order of St. Dumas it was an accident, and that should anything happen to Gotham, he’ll take over and start society on premisis over again.) Killer Croc has further deteriorated from society, and has started creating a Massacre with Bane, Clayface and Man-Bat. Firefly is in a Gang war with Mr. Freeze, as is Falcone and Maroni and Penguin vs. Two Face. Black Mask is teaming up with Great White Shark. Ratchatcher is going through the sewers, trying to get Strange and Ventriloquist to Power again(Hey, you and I know both know that Hugo’s too smart to go without a back up plan. Ras’ rezzurected him via Lazarus. Said he “showed potential, should he follow orders second time around”) Superman comes to get help with things, even though Batman, quote unquote”Doesn’t need help from an alien refugee”. And finally, in the middle of it all, as a last resort from some other dimension, Old, defeated Bruce Wayne has sent Terry(Beyond Batman), who has been serving as a failing Batman in the future where evil has prevailed. This would cause players to be able to switch players for the ultimate experience, where you get different story modes for the different Characters.
If you don’t like this idea, remember that I’m like ten, so I’m coming up with this immaturly.
To appease everyone who wants the Joker to make an appearance, perhaps he doesn’t really have to actually be in the next game. Perhaps Scarecrow could create some sort of illusion to make it seem that the joker still exists. HOWEVER, the MAJOR FLAW in that idea is the fact that Batman holds the jokers body which means he actually knows hes dead and wouldn’t be fooled by some sort of illusion.

i’m predicting the sequel will introduce aerial battles and free flight mode (using jet/rocket packs, not just gliding). this will allow for seriously interesting battles against the likes of Man-Bat, Firefly, Maxie Zeus. ok, i hate Zeus. but this game can make any Batvillain awesome!
also hope for encounters with Ventriloquist+Scarface, Clock King and Lazara. Catwoman should return to include romance but should no longer be a playable character. and please include Huntress and Question in this game.

To jack. There is an episode that shows how ra’s brought Jason Todd to his lazuras pit and resurrected him. Turning him into the red hood. As well, to all those who think that joker used the “act of being sick” from the Titan od, you’re wrong. DC released a graphic novel that fits in between the first game and Arkham city. Joker was definitely dieing! Oh and one more thing on scarecrow. There is an ally way some wear in jokers turf. And in this ally way there is a discarded green spray paint bottle that has the “?” label on it. It’s the same paint the the riddler uses to make his invisable question marks. If you turn on the your bat-vision, you see the words “GOTHOM WILL SOON HAVE MORE FEAR OF YOU THAN ME BATMAN”. As well, I’m sure many of you have seen. Right after killing Ra’s, and you got through the sewers, and push this put ton with a remote controle baterwrang, killer croc comes busting through the walls and talks to batman. Telling him to watch his back in the coming months.
I believe that batman will wield the immunity sword and use it to defeat the army of hell.Possibbley joker will lead that army and attempt to get his son into the bissinness. as for the titan virus jokers son may inherit the strenghth that bane did and use it to try and kill batman.Maybe to be saved by joker.
I want to see Jason Todd in a perhaps main role. Im not going to go out of my way to explain why but its my big thing on my list. Its perfectly plausable for him to be there. Hush has made his ‘debut’, Ras and Talia are both there with Lazuras Pits and Joker is finally ‘dead’. To me, its sort of hinting at his involvement in the next game. Other than that, I like the idea of Terry being in the next game aswell.

Okay, okay enough wild dreams! Come one we all know that jokers is going to return. There’s no way around it. What happens in the few minutes between the destruction of the Lazarus pit and the attack by joker? I really think that joker fell into Lazarus, because he was on top of the platform before the explosion. Clayface is a great actor, he could resume the role as joker and fake his death.
And the next game will most likely feature Hush, Ra’s al Ghul, JOKER, Two-face, Harley Quinn, Azrael, ( and I may be incorrect but isn’t Azrael a good guy?) Penguin, Killer Croc, Victor Zsasz, Mr. Freeze, and our creepy little friend Jonathan Crane AKA The Scarecrow.
Nightwing and Robin will be presented as a larger role. Batman will get more tools, the map enlarged, and the villains and thugs will be everywhere. This game I believe will take place in a larger Arkham City and a Gotham City.
Whether or not if the batmoble is not added it will be the top game for 2013 or 2014.

Most games have been like films but what makes Arkham City unique is that it is more analogous to an episodic TV series than a film.
I think all of your speculations about what are going to happen are all relevant but they are not going to happen in a third game because the continuation of the story will be revealed in next download episodic content. Game director Sefton Hill told The Guardian on May 18th 2011 before the release of Arkham City:
“The side missions in Batman: Arkham City are a good example. We have around 15 hours of story that’s off the main path,” he said.
It’s completely down to the player when and how they want to tackle this – there’s no right or wrong time. There’s no other medium that can offer this kind of flexible experience where the viewer gets to tailor the experience they want themselves.”
Hill went on to liken the narrative structure of Arkham City and games in general to TV shows, as opposed to movies.
“In terms of narrative structure, I think games are much more analogous to an episodic TV series than a film. You have, say, 15 hourly episodes to fill, each requiring its own narrative arc but each plugging into an overarching storyline”,
If you think of this game more like a television series opposed to a film you will not be looking for a third game right away because the season finale has not even happened yet in the Arkham city game.
I honestly believe a Scare Crow game would be amazing. There would be a great storyline for him. Also It would be fun to have a Batman game that included Robin: The Boy Wonder Or Nightwing, Or Even Both! I’m hoping for the next game to be amazing.
First off, I thought of a name if the sequel is in Batman Beyond times; Batman: Beyond Arkham.
Now, main reason I commented is to give my wishlist for the main 3 or 4 villains of the sequel:

Hush

Alright if Mark Hamill is not the voice of joker anymore let joker die. This is my childhood your talking about here he makes that character. As far as everything else they wouldn’t put all of these Easter eggs in here if they didn’t plan to do something with all of it. Arkham City walls will probably be breached inmates psychos and supervillians will run rampant. Turf wars between gangs will turn gotham into a battleground. I don’t see any far fetched alliances because all of them hate each other. Hugo Strange and Ra’s were exceptions. Main story? Probably three parts maybe four (AC had really two main stories). Scarecrow Harley/Joker (IF Mark Hamill comes back) The league and the order are the only four possibilities for the main storylines in my eyes. And they may work together but only until one betrays, wants more, or other such bs happens. But whatever happens the bad guys should win this time. I’m not saying Batman die (I would burn down their studio for such blasphemy) but maybe he finally gives up. I doubt Warner Bros. Will let them do it but it would let them do that but It’s the best ending in my mind to the best series on the market. If my grammar is lacking here and there suck it this was done on a smart phone touch keypad.
I think it’s kinda ridiculous how everybody seems to have their own ideas on whether or not Joker will come back or not, or rather, his way of coming back or not. Hey, he’s to his own opinion, but I’ll set the record straight:
In the final boss battle with Clayface, Joker stands on the platform, about to fall into the Pit. Batman, with his awesome sword throwing skills, makes the platform fall, Joker to the ground, and Clayface is knocked into the pit, seeming to die. If ANYTHING, that would just make him immortal, right? So, even then, Batman is knocked out from an explosion for God knows how long. Bare in mind that he slips out of conciousness, the cure is in his LEFT hand. When he comes to, it’s in his RIGHT hand. How are we supposed to know whether this is poor game making or put there on purpose, as to show Joker might have taken a small sip of the cure, and put it back in his hand? Also, Joker’s not stupid enough to stab Batman in the shoulder that he’s holding the cure in. I think it was Clayface, playing his last scene to fool Batman(to an apparent success). Plus, if you notice real careful, CLAYFACE ISN’T IN THE PIT ANYMORE WHEN “JOKER” IS LICKING THE CURE SOAKEN FLOOR!!! So, in a way, they pretty much set up for a threequel, for anyone wanting to take time to beat the game again and pay attention to details.
Also, I think that it’s nesesasary to to say that Scarecrow is going to come to the 3rd game, because A.) He’s an important character, and so much can be done plot-wise. And B.) You don’t put someone in the first game without putting him in the sequel, except if he’s going to come back for the third showing.
And, I think you should be able to customize the suit. What do you think?????????????
i think Clayface will make a return bc in the end he was knocked into the Lazarus pit. i would like to see some lesser known villain side missions like Firefly, Ventriloquist, Killer Moth, Charlatan, and The Mortician. i believe Joker faked his death. i think Hush and Azrael side missions will b continued. i believe Harley will have her baby by the time the next game comes out. i believe Mr. Freeze will finally cure Nora by turning her into Lazara. i want to see Riddler, Killer Croc, Scarecrow, Two Face, Penguin, and Poison Ivy to make a return in the game. if i used any villain names u don’t recognize then look them up.

Okay first off Joker is definitely dead. Rocksteady made a very ballsy move by killing him nd it was a perfect theatrical ending. But the game series will be a trilogy nd Harley Quinn will not have a role in the final game due to the dlc coming out to end her story but more in that later. In the final chapter of the series al ghul will be the main villain due to the final lazarous pit. In the game he will team with scarecrow nd unleash the fear gas on Gotham nd the league of assasins will seize control of the city meanwhile hush is destroying the Wayne legacy. Talia will also be back due to the pit but she will be alot darker like Ra’s has become. The League of Shadows will cut off Gotham from the rest of the world so noone gets in or out. Batman will be forced to make an uneasy alliance with Azrael but he says this is the prophecy nd in the end he must burn to save Gotham. Batman must then stop the League of Shadows nd the fear gas with scarecrow but Talia will be just a shade of her old self nd batman must stop her until she is killed by her father setting up the epic final battle with Ra’s Al Ghul for the fate of Gotham but in the end Batman will be forced to make the ultimate sacrifice in order to destroy the Lazarus Pit nd defeat Ra’s once nd for all so they will both die. This will save the people of Gotham nd restore the Wayne family Legacy. Perfect end to the best game trilogy of all time. This will set up the much desired Batman Beyond game in which the new batman will face off against Harley’s son.
if Joker truly is dead and the Revenge of Harley DLC is the end of Harley then i believe that Scarecrow could become the main character bc lets not forget that he has scattered messages 4 Batman saying “ill make u pay 4 what u did 2 me.” and other messages saying other things that i cant exactly remember anyways if u think about it Scarecrow could b the main man.

Guys. We all kno that in comic books no one really truly dies. They will find someway to bring back the Joker in a way WE wouldnt of expected. I think they will follow up on the whole Azrael thing. He could be talking about what Scarecrow is doing and they want to stop it, so they will be a big factor. In the time between the games Harley could have a child but it wont grow up to be a adult it could be just a baby during the enitre game. We dont know but it will be good to see what they come up with

Heres is my theory on what would make a great game. I think that Arkham 3 should take place in the future and you play as Terry McGinnis(yes Batman Beyond) and have to fight Jokers kid because Bruce Wayne is old, and Bruce would tell Terry stories that could act as flashback gameplay sequences refering to the burning of Gotham City with Azreal and either the Scarecrow theory or the The League of Assassins theory, either one but I personally like the Scarecrow one!
I have a good idea. The Jokers death is a fake. He actually got enough of the titan formula off of the floor. When he gets to the morgue at Gotham General he wakes up and breaks free, and is assisted by Hush who has made a bargain as Bruce Wayne with the defeated Tyger security that he be released from Arkham City in exchange for killing Batman – thus riding Gotham of it’s hero and permanently destroying Wayne’s legacy. Wayne (Hush) is released first so that he can have access to his wealth and power to destroy Batman, however his secret intention is revealed when he rigs the hospital with explosives and helps the Joker escape into Gotham. Hours later, with their whereabouts unknown, the Joker makes a public threat to blow up the hospital unless the remaining inmates in Arkham City are released into Gotham. With some bought security guards (bribed by Hush as Wayne for his release)the gates of Arkham City are opened. Robin has also been captured after being caught off guard by this attack, and it’s up to Batman to not only save the people of Gotham from the free roaming criminals, but risk his own life trying to get out of Arkham and into Gotham to put a final end to Joker’s reign and save his partner. Other major obstacles present themselves along the way.

Adding more to my story. In order for Batman to get past Arkham’s walls and into Gotham he must ask Alfred to remotely deploy the Batwing. As the Batwing arrives it takes heavy fire from Tyger Guards surrounding the walls from the Gotham side. It makes it over, but crash lands in the streets surrounding the steel mill digging up chunks of the street. However 10 Tyger Guards/Armed Henchmen find it first and Batman must defeat them. After he does so Batman gets inside the damaged but still working Batwing. Batman is closing the Batwing’s windshield above him when all of a sudden Killer Croc (who’s cage underneath the streets has been broken due to the damage the Batwing caused to the street above the sewer when it crashed) pulls it back and grabs Batman out of the Batwing and throws him. After fighting Croc for a while Batman is finally able to gain an advantage with one of the Batwing’s weapons and uses it to defeat Croc. He finally gets inside the Batwing and again it takes heavy fire from Tyger Guards outside the wall. As Batman gets near Gotham General (where in which Hush has planted bombs and helped a revived Joker escape) he must fight against several Gotham City Police Helicopter who think he is the enemy. He finds out that for some reason bomb squad is unable to make it – reason for this is to be revealed later in the game. Gordon is able to convince the remaining officers on the ground that Batman is on their side. The Joker only wants Batman to go inside and threatens blow the hospital up if anyone else enters. Batman enters the hospital in which most of the employees and patients have seemingly disappeared (most have been taken hostage by someone into a room which Batman must find). Not only must he find the hostage but he must find and destroy all the bombs in the building – the player is giving twenty minutes to do so.

Well the idea of Harley Quinn is tech already axed since the DLC is coming out for the game and The idea of Hush being captured could be either mentioned or be a small side mission(I hope HQ’s Revenge adds those back cause I loved them in the other game)so they’re kinda axed now(At least the HQ part is hush too maybe that is if they don’t mention anything about the pregnancy or at least not till the end,like in Arkham City, again.) but the idea of the league of Assassins sounds like it could/would be the next logical step for the next installment of the series. Especially if they “Take over the world”
I don’t know how a “Batman: Arkham World” would work. It would have to be almost like Call of Duty to do something like that, and I don’think Batman – even with all of his allies – could realistically handle something like that. Unless, of course, the word World in this case does not mean the whole earth.

I have just cracked it. As the game finishes, Batman walks OUT OF ARKHAM CITY HOLDING JOKER, my theory is that JOKER IS NOT DEAD (either faking, or later to be revived) and was litterally carried by Batman into GOTHAM CITY. His perfect chance to escape Arkham city and create chaos in Gotham.
NEXT GAME: Gotham City.

I don’t like how Titan, seems to be the only way that these villains are able to do any damage. Years ago, TITAN wasn’t around and the criminals had to do it the old fashioned way, be either being super smart, or hells blazing.

I think joker should be revived at the end of the next game. And possibly Bane as the main antiagonist, since he is a genius and would make a great plot along working with scarecrow. And a dual final boss battle. And have batman struggle with Ban breaking his back. Just an idea..
I Wish enemies like Everywhere Man, Catman, Man-Bat and Ventriloquist and Scarface in the next game. Seeming as scarface has featured in arkham asylum and arkham city it seems only right. And also have Batgirl in it aswell. It would be nice to have access to the batcave and wayne manor that would be pretty cool! I’m just so hyped to see what kind of villains and suprises will be in the next game and what will it be called and when will it announced omg too much excitement!!
I could see them annexing Gotham. The Scarecrow easter eggs and the doom prophecy from Azrael could definitely play into that. Maybe an annexation would title the next game Arkham State. A city’s the next step after an asylum, and a state’s after a city, and that city’s in a STATE of terror and panic (wooo irony!…Mister J would’ve loved that…).
All that fear gas could also cause Batman to hallucinate about his guilt over Joker, questioning his death, giving Joker a way to be in the next game, dead or not…that is if Arkham City wasn’t really Hamill’s last Joker gig. Wouldn’t be the same without him.
Hush would definitely return, hopefully Riddler too. The riddler trophies and etc are probably my favorite part of the game.

This is maturing to be a very interesting thread. I recently just learned about the Harley Revenge DLC, and God knows who’s gonna come up to say when the third game will come out, but I was technically right about the prequel. In a recent GameInformer magazine, there was a small article about there being a special third game, of the events prior to Arkham City. While Arkham is still part of the game, City hasn’t happened, rather, it’s still being pieced together. I still hope to see Joker, but if they do put him in, and it after all being a prequel to City, then that might settle whether or not Mr. J really is dead. Namely, because if Joker doesn’t show up in Arkham 3, or 1 1/2 I suppose, then that means Mark Hamill isn’t voicing him, and there for, he’s done with the Joker trend, then Joker truly is dead… still with me on this? Anyhow, I’m not saying Mark HAS to be in in order for Joker to have survived. Maybe, they could get the voice of Joker to be someone else, like the guy from “the Batman”, that one with glowing batarangs??? Idk, but all I know is; I still want Batgirl showing up, or else I’ll kill Rocksteady with my bare hands… What? She’d be interesting to see, and that would provide some interesting gameplay… Anyway, I also want the prequel to maybe have access to the actual batcave, instead of wannabes, back ups or none at all. I mean, c’mon, who doesn’t want to play a game of Risk with Alfred? Maybe we might actually get to see oracle, instead of just hearing her… Or…>:3 muahahaha I just came up with this… (don’t get ahead of me here… dorks…) You could have a special mission, where you get to play as her, like, control the Bat-Copter in a special airstrike, or something… I’ve been playing MW3 lately, don’t think I’m stupid… And finally, a question for the board: How would you make Batgirl look like??? Huh??? I’d make her have the grey body suit, and a purple high light cape, glove, and boots. Also, no hair would be showing, and no skirts(perverts would tilt the camera ever so slightly…), maybe the yellow bat circle?

Maybe two clayfaces Were involved in city and joker was never really there at all, just controlling his dominion from outside the Walls of Arkham. I personally think he has made allegiances with scarecrow shipping out Titan and meanwhile scarecrow has made an alliance with riddler who took the identity of mr fine purchasing the buildings for his death traps. Riddler has clearly helped scarecrow with his shipments of the cockroaches. Maybe Titan was on board some of the ships and in Arkham 3 scarecrow will betray joker to help riddler overthrow joker. Scarecrow will help riddler escape from cash, Harley’s child will have similar attributes to clayface and when she realises this she will set out into Gotham in search of her beloved mr j. After these events when Harley finds joker a gang war will flare into existence between riddler, using scarecrows fear gas and joker, using Titan. This is where the arazel an the league of assassins come into play as they desire to prevent the gang war and “cleanse” Gotham. Now for two face, penguin, catwoman and hush. As told by city two face and penguin are having a little war of their own. Penguin and hush will come into contact and as they both have a huge wealth and vow to destroy Bruce Wayne they will use this as a tool to move against two face, catwoman will learn of their desires and warn batman of the peril bruce is in. Unaware he is the man behind the mask and this will often draw his attention, this willleave gaps o opportunity for joker and riddler to make their move. As an extension to Catwoman’s story she will once more ask poison ivy for help in order to steel from joker and riddler samples of Titan and fear gas in order to sell them to Gotham hospitals, for a considerable fee. In the process of this joker sees what is happening but is to occupied by riddler, batman or both. As result he sends Harley to deal with it. After analysing Titan ivy notices an additional chemical that she could use for her own ends and betrays catwoman to Harley. After a daring escape from catwoman, ivy returns to Harley and barters more Titan from her in exchange for some of ivy’s chemicals that might help cure joker. Harley returns to joker and After a lot of medical attention while the clayfaces continue to run jokers dominion joker is cured and returns to his position at the helm. Now penguin will join the war as sufficient funds allow him to gain the samples of Titan and fear gas and he will but hush to work with a team of scientists he has kidnapped to calculate the opposite. Twoface will get the information of penguins higher aims via catwoman and will try and make allegiances with any super villain he can find in a panic that his forces are too weak. He locates bane who is after more titan and joins twoface after he vows to bring him supply’s of titan. While the gang war rages batman locates black mask in a gambit to find information on any of the gangs in operation. Black mask will send batman to the sewers of Gotham where he will face killer croc who reveals he is under the command of black mask commuting murders for people he wants dead as to seemingly give black mask no ties to the situation. Now with five gangs involved it seems impossible for batman to stop them. He should then be confronted by arazel, Tallia (who is alive) and Robin who will each put their point forward of how to stop the gang war, this would seem an impossible choice as arazel seems to be able to see the future, he loves Tallia and Robin is his trusted friend and sidekick. The game should end with an image of batman, trying to make his choice and that is where the game should end leaving space for Arkham 4 as I don’t think anyone wants to see it end at just three, I know I don’t

i think what were all forgetting about is in the movie Return of Joker it shows that joker creates his own Joker Jr. using Robin. so maybe they’ll recreate that in the next game

Gotta say, these games have always impressed me narratively right up until the end. The lack of development involving Batman’s dark personality wasn’t really touched upon, and although Arkham City’s explosive ending did justice, I really wished that they had followed up on the loss of Talia.
And Robin! Even in the DLC it’s not clearly explained as to his relationship with his mentor.
Okay first I think the next game should be called Batman: Project Arkham. I Dont think that Jocker is dead and about Harley Quins baby test are coming out postive and not postive. And i know that Clay Face is not died because if you remember he fell into the Lazurs pit And i think like in the next game before Strange died he came up with a plan just in cass his planed didnt work like before they take the inmates out of arkham city the walls around arkham city blow up and all the inmates go into gotham and go to Hell

joker is still alive. before the explosion clayface falls into the pit, and batman blacks out. wakes up with the antidote in the opposite hand, clayface remains are gone, and joker is way smarter to do what he did. and if you listen to some conversations between inmates i believe, they mention how jokers body went missing. so obviously it was all part of the plan
Okay everyone, lets get this straight. If anyone thinks that Harley will have a Joker jr. you’re wasting all of our time. In the Harley Quinn DLC there’s a crib with scarface in it and if you look around it there are 16 pregnancy tests which ALL come up negative, meaning that the test in the Steel Mill was either just a false positive or Batman was SO rough on Quinn that the baby just was gone. None of us would really know what happened to the Joker in the end on whether he did or didnt die. All we know is that Batman blacks out and there is a small chance that Joker could have either fallen into the Lazuras Pit or he could have had some of the cure without Batman knowing at all and Clayface could’ve faked Jokers death. It will be a big surprise if Joker really does come back and I for one hope so too. And in my own opinion the next game should have more gadgets, more free space (without having to go around anything)/roam, Nightwing and Robin free roam and storyline, Batmobile, Scarecrow should come back because of the transmissions you can pick up from the sequencer, Killer Croc will come back, Hush/fake Bruce Wayne will be back and you should try to stop him as part of the major Batman/Robin/Nightwing storyline, much more customization with your character, more costumes for all the different characters, Red Hood should get a part in the game in some sort of way whether it be a cutscene or a side mission, I also think that if Scarecrow were to come back or in some other way Batman has his fears haunt him or even sequences of guilt of maybe where he thinks HE killed the joker, Commissioner Gordon should have a larger role, more gang-ish crimes, you should be able to enter the batcave and even see all the different cool Bat-geek things and Oracle, and Bane might even come back out for some MAJOR revenge. I really hope that Rocksteady can see this and/or you guys and like it.
well i just wanna say ive 100% both arkhams now im feendin 4 a 3rd the best thing they do is put more playable characters in the new game but not only for online i think it wood b supercool if u cood go batcave nd change hero like nightwing or robin

As a reader of the comics, I think we should take into account the arkham games are chronologically out of order with the comics, for example:
Azrael is introduced before bane in the comics (granted it’s a different azrael), bane does the atomic back breaker on batman making him wheelchair bound with the reformed azrael (jean-Paul valley) picking up the mantle of the bat.
Tim drake is the third robin, Jason todd (2nd robin) was killed by joker so can’t make an appearence
Etc…
The logical progression from AC is an all out Gotham gang war.

I would absoultely love another game, since Arkham City is one of my favorite games of all time, and I have some what of a hypothesis to what it could possibly be.
In Arkham City, there were several different easter eggs involving Scarecrow, who was a big villian in Arkham Asylum. First of all, in the ending of Asylum, Scarecrow’s hand popped out of the water, even though he was presumed dead because of what Killer Croc did to him in the sewers, meaning that he is still alive. So in Arkham City, you can find different things that involve Scarecrow, such as messages you can decipher or a boat containing cockroaches (which are one Scarecrow’s trademarks) and a man who appears to be there for “testing” purposes. But that’s not it.
Another villian that was in Arkham City was Hush, who was in the side mission “Identity Theft Killer”. At the end of the mission, you see that Hush used other people’s body parts to make his face resemble Bruce Wayne, and he says that he’s going to get revenge on Bruce (if you’ve never read the comics, Bruce Wayne and Hush, who’s real name is Thomas Elliot, were childhood friends that became enemies).
This can relate to possibly another game, but so does something else. In Hush’s hideout, you can find canisters of Scarecrow’s Fear Gas, which can also be seen where you save the third Riddler hostage. My idea is that Hush could possibly be working with Scarecrow in a deal. Since Hush is a surgeon, then he could fix Scarecrow, who must be harmed from what Killer Croc did, and then Scarecrow could supply Hush with Fear Gas. Either that, or this is just another reference to the comics, because when Hush had ended up in a psych ward, Jonathan Crane, a.k.a. Scarecrow, released him.
Even though I absoutely love the Joker, I wouldn’t mind if someone else would be the main villian in the next game. Of course, the Joker seems to be dead at the time, even though I still don’t believe it. It just doesn’t seem right that the Joker is dead. Maybe during the time Batman was unconcious, the Joker switched with Clayface again and possibly went to the Lazarus Pit, so he would heal. Just an idea.
Also, I think that in this game, it should occur in Gotham City. You could drive around in the Batmobile, and like in Arkham City go on side missions and such. There would also be more riddles, and possibly different characters to choose from, like Catwoman, Robin, and Nightwing in Arkham City. Again, this is just a thought of mine about another game, but who knows how it’ll turn out? I just hope that Rocksteady will pull off yet another amazing game. (:
The problem with the Batman game in both Arkham Asylum and Arkham City is that there is absolutely NO batwing, batcopter, or more action with the batmobile.
Batman is only walking or running or soaring. Batman has MORE gadgets, BIG gadgets. We need them in the Next Game!!
What about killer croc? After you first beat Ra’s if you go the way you came from and not the way you are suppost to go there is a caged off section with a gap in it and a button on the wall if you throw a batarang through the gap and hit the button killer croc will break through the wall and grab the bars of the cage and there will be a small cutscene about him finding you, killing you, and sucking the marrow from your bones or something like that. That is all you see about killer croc in this game so he must have something to do with the next one.
NOTE: this must be done right after facing Ra’s for the first time or nothing will happen.

Why would Red Hood and Harley Quinn be a “couple”? Red Hood is basically an anti-hero so he would be against Harley Quinn just as well as Batman. Plus with Harley and Jason/Red Hood’s personalities they would literally NEVER make a good couple, in fact if they ever met I bet that Jason would be so annoyed he’d kill her.
if i remember correctly Superherofan Joker started his villainous career as Red Hood. so that could also mean that kardan is making no sense since Mark Hamill isn’t voicing Joker anymore. plus when Joker was under the name Red Hood Harley Quinnzel was still a psychiatrist at Arkham so Red Hood and Harley never meet. although if they do use Jokers Red Hod Version in the game the could probably have a scene where they meet. as for the Jason Tod version of Red Hood id have 2 agree with Superherofan bc when Jason becomes Red Hood not only does he blame Joker for his death but he Blames Batman 2 4 not getting there in time. anyways 2 get back 2 the point since Harley is affiliated with the Joker Jason would never “hook up” with Harley. and yes ik i know a lot about Batman so i guess u can call me a Super Batman Fan
Well that would be a nice name but giving the names I think they might stick to the whole “Arkham” storyline rather than taking a big leap to make it into an ACTUAL city. They might just make it a bit bigger, you know. Taking their time and doing their best to make the series bigger in each game.
I don’t believe that the Joker is returning to the Arkham series, if they make a third one. Mark Hamill himself said Arkham City was his last role as the Joker. I would love to see Hush return. I loved the character when he first was introduced. Robin (and Nightwing maybe) should have larger roles in the game, perhaps something like what they did with Catwoman. Jason Todd as a villain would be excellent.
Right after the explosion batman knocks out and I think Joker faked his
death because you weren’t allowed to do detective mode on Joker. I think all the villians should be in the next vidoegame. Joker come back and trys to take control over arkham city/gotham city and then the world. Harley comes back, but no way with a JOKER.JR. It would be so lame and boring. I think MR.Freeze isn’t really evil so he shouldn’t be in the next game.Pengiun is finished 2face took him and his henchmen out. Penguin shoun’t be in this one. 2face should defitinaly be in the game and Riddler should 2face. No way RA’s al Ghul should be in the next one he had his chance. Poison Ivy went up aginst batman and catwomen and lost, so no way. Clayface should come back after falling into that lazarus pitand become much more powerful. Zsasz is done batman won three times aginst him. Deadshot should come back as a side mission. Calender man is so lame NO WAY he should come back. Hush should come back as a side mission. Bane and killer Croc should work together. Black Mask should become a side mission. PART 1
I don’t know if anyone else noticed this but when you are near Calendar Man, he talks about how dogs will come for Batman. Just a thought.
Um… That’s actually an achievement/trophy; if you talk to calendar man on 12 holidays, you get the “Story Teller” Trophy… The dogs thing is one of the holidays… He tells stories about the different murders he commits on those holidays… After all, he calls himself Calendar Man for a reason… i.e. he talks about hanging a judge on christmas… with christmas lights… kinda disturbing, yet slightly clever… anyway… the calendar on the wall next to his cell has the dates required circled… after all that, a special reference to a sequel appears… don’t spoil it, but it’s freaky…
Batman Arkham Sequal idea
My idea of what could/should happen in the next rocksteady batman game; This game should be more focused on mob wars, with characters like two face and penguin taking more of a back seat role to run their organisation. And the new character black mask coming into things with a more frontal approach to running a mob. Also the falconis and moronis will be involved in this all out turf war spreading over Gotham. But all these gang leaders want is to run the city and not to destroy it, it is only when batman looks further into the disagreements that he finds there is a higher authority sending orders or advice and poisoning the minds of the leaders trying to send each other into the ground. This authority you later find out to be scarecrow, who reveals his plan to turn gothams most feared gang leaders against themselves to send the cities inhabitants into a spiralling world of fear and hate. Batman must set out to take down each mob leaders one by one whilst trying to uncover more about Dr. Cranes crazy plan. But who will look after the civilians who helplessly walk the street at night, vulnerable to the aggressive thug life running the street ? Enter Nightwing and Robin. With full access to specific parts of Gotham city instructed to wipe the streets clean of bad guys and keep them safe while batman goes after the big shots. This would mean areas where only robin or only Nightwing could go, but batman could go over all of it. And robin and Nightwing can do side quests but not the main story line. You could be able to switch anytime during the game depending on whether you wanted to search deep into the hearts of gothams most fierce, or just do some good old fashioned crime fighting ( but of course you could do either as the dark night if you wished).
But anyway, back to the main story, batman has to take out each of the gangs and put a stop to scarecrows scheme, whilst also worrying about hush getting Bruce Wayne involved in the mob fighting, and riddler trying to make a game of the whole thing. It’s a lot for batman to handle so there will be more weight put on the shoulders of Tim drake and dick Grayson. Azrael and his clan will be ever watchful but not get to involved as they will have a more religious view of letting things run their course. Old characters like gordan and alfred ( and maybe even freeze) will return to lend the bat a hand if he needs it.
But here comes the good part, just when the dark knight gets close enough to scarecrow that he thinks he can end it all comes; The Joker.
Very near the end of the game with not much involvement ( purely because of mark hamills idea of moving away from his joker character), but still a massive shock for batman. He reveals how he managed to live on and he also reveals how he has been playing crane like a puppet the whole time to get what he wanted and how the whole thing was just so funny. A short time later the bat conquers evil again and stops joker and scarecrow. But still leaving the streets with a lot of clearing up to do (playable after game completion). But batman still wonders where Harley has been through this whole charade? But it’s is only after the credits role that you are shown Harley in an old warehouse, presumably far from Gotham, singing a sweet lullaby, and then finally turns round to reveal… The baby.

Ivy poisoning crocs sewer or croc eating through Ivy’s plants and you have to choose which one to help

With all the replica scar faces joker had made, the ventriloquist gets angry and threatens to kill again if one of the crime fighters don’t hunt down and destroy the ‘imposters’

Harry you do have an interesting idea there. It would be interesting if they would put black mask in. But the whole game being about the mafia doesnt really appeal to me. Because look both batman games have been about a much bigger evil plan than the mafia. Includin the mafia would be a good idea but the mafia shouldnt be the main problem of the story.
In harley quinns revenge if you talk to jim gordon he says that he needs to talk to batman about the other problem and also when vicki vale interviews him about whats really going on he shoves her. any ideas as to what it might be about?

Guys in the DLC it shows failed pregnancy tests. Thoes can be from before they succeeded on gettin Harley pregnant. Just a thought.
Ive just had an i dea for the next game (harley takes revenge on batman and owns gotham with her gang of henchmen and but also as azrael said gotham will burn there should be mysterious fires breaking outall over gotham that should be reported to batman by gordan and as batman investigates there is evidence of arson and no trails leading to the suspect as the game goes on you find that harleys henchmen are causing the fires and batman goes to speak to her in the steel mill so off you go flying to the steel mill and u see random weird plants (return of poison ivy) you get dizzy in the air n fall to the ground (this happens a fair few because batman feels guilty of jokers death but then as batman wakes up he sees mad hatter n scare crow work together n try to destroy him of evil hypnosis (same thing happens in arkhum asylum wen scarecrow does to you in the new game) but u destroy them both and fly back to your batcave due to injuries as u wake up n in the bathroom u look in the mirror n u feel dizzy n see joker so as u hed out n fly to the steel mill u see more plants (poison ivy) gordon speaks to you on the phone saying she kidnapped henchmen of harleys who think they own the city n start killing the plants so u have a fight with her n she surrenders at the end only to give,u news saying im sorry but they killed my plants so as u go to the steel mill u hear jokers laughs out nowhere n shouts of u fell for old joker gag bats n u fight harleys henchmen in he steel mill and as you reach harley u both fight n she loses n says kill me so i can see my lovely joker u know the one u killed the one tou murdered then batman has a flash back of his fight with joker n remembers that joker died but then he hears u fell for the old joker gag bats then he sais to harley can u hear that then she sais see u finally become insane n then has a flashback of joker explaining the killing joke n de den gathers up all the evidence of arkham city n sais there is a possibility he can be alive n dat it could ov been clayface two n that joker had left arkham city as he picked up joker out of gotham and found a way s top his heart (in batman arkham city gordan sais we need to discuss that other problem right after the game completes n that could mean a missing body n as batman slaps out of his flashback n sais to harley where is he but then the riddler coms n sais riddle me this (whatever good question dat means jokets alive n how to find him but then batman wakes up in the steel mill as if it was a dream but he wakes up where joker first was in the game n discovers the pregnancy test n the blood around harleys dress with blood around the vaginal bit discovering she had a baby n he hears crying from the cot n moces but is handcuffed to the chaur where joker was n joker comes through the door saying the killing joke and about how he is a widow and has a dead child but now has an alive one he reminisces with batman but then injects him with titan n has a weird effect batman becomes like a real bats skills such as he can really fly and powerful faster (same size n den has a dizzy moment whee he ses his parents n they say bruce control it i have always been with u guiding you n he (batman can now control the titan n as he talks to joker the building collapses n fire burns gotham so then all the immates (prisoners go back to blackgate (chapter falled back to black lol sounded good n e way as the prisoners such as joker harley n the rest are in prison hush returns with a fight in side.missions n croc takes a fight to batman in side mission n. The story mode lasts 24 hours and also strange makes weapons for u and u have bat car n bat cave (underground and also most of the fires have been put out n riddler takes a fight with u n calendar man is released n batman has a relationship with catwoman n she plays a big role asin helping him fight poison ivy n harley n she also turns to a good character helping u defeat poison ivy n harley u also can roam gotham city and blackgate and out of gotham

But but also as azrael said gotham will burn there should be mysterious fires breaking outall over gotham that should be reported to batman by gordan and as batman investigates there is evidence of arson and no trails leading to the suspect as the game goes on you find that harleys henchmen are causing the fires and batman goes to speak to her in the steel mill so off you go flying to the steel mill and u see random weird plants (return of poison ivy) you get dizzy in the air n fall to the ground (this happens a fair few because batman feels guilty of jokers death but then as batman wakes up he sees mad hatter n scare crow work together n try to destroy him of evil hypnosis (same thing happens in arkhum asylum wen scarecrow does to you in the new game) but u destroy them both and fly back to your batcave due to injuries as u wake up n in the bathroom u look in the mirror n u feel dizzy n see joker so as u hed out n fly to the steel mill u see more plants (poison ivy) gordon speaks to you on the phone saying she kidnapped henchmen of harleys who think they own the city n start killing the plants so u have a fight with her n she surrenders at the end only to give,u news saying im sorry but they killed my plants so as u go to the steel mill u hear jokers laughs out nowhere n shouts of u fell for old joker gag bats n u fight harleys henchmen in he steel mill and as you reach harley u both fight n she loses n says kill me so i can see my lovely joker u know the one u killed the one tou murdered then batman has a flash back of his fight with joker n remembers that joker died but then he hears u fell for the old joker gag bats then he sais to harley can u hear that then she sais see u finally become insane n then has a flashback of joker explaining the killing joke n de den gathers up all the evidence of arkham city n sais there is a possibility he can be alive n dat it could ov been clayface two n that joker had left arkham city as he picked up joker out of gotham and found a way s top his heart (in batman arkham city gordan sais we need to discuss that other problem right after the game completes n that could mean a missing body n as batman slaps out of his flashback n sais to harley where is he but then the riddler coms n sais riddle me this (whatever good question dat means jokets alive n how to find him but then batman wakes up in the steel mill as if it was a dream but he wakes up where joker first was in the game n discovers the pregnancy test n the blood around harleys dress with blood around the vaginal bit discovering she had a baby n he hears crying from the cot n moces but is handcuffed to the chaur where joker was n joker comes through the door saying the killing joke and about how he is a widow and has a dead child but now has an alive one he reminisces with batman but then injects him with titan n has a weird effect batman becomes like a real bats skills such as he can really fly and powerful faster (same size n den has a dizzy moment whee he ses his parents n they say bruce control it i have always been with u guiding you n he (batman can now control the titan n as he talks to joker the building collapses n fire burns gotham so then all the immates (prisoners go back to blackgate (chapter falled back to black lol sounded good n e way as the prisoners such as joker harley n the rest are in prison hush returns with a fight in side.missions n croc takes a fight to batman in side mission n. The story mode lasts 24 hours and also strange makes weapons for u and u have bat car n bat cave (underground and also most of the fires have been put out n riddler takes a fight with u n calendar man is released n batman has a relationship with catwoman n she plays a big role asin helping him fight poison ivy n harley n she also turns to a good character helping u defeat poison ivy n harley u also can roam gotham city and blackgate and out of gotham
Have you guys read the comics that tells you what happens after arkham city ? It’s called “End Game” , and the burned Joker’s dead body … I don’t know but that’s a lot of evidence that the Joker is truly dead :( … But, in the next game what would really be so cool is that you get the ultimate free rom. Every gamer is looking for a game like that, that is why GTA is so famous. Just imagine the fact that you could go to the Bat-cave, all over Gotham, or even Arkham ! or where Arkham City used to be because obviously, that place is tearing into pieces, in Harley’s revenge is even worse. And imagine that out of nowhere, without even the trailer spoiling it, and you have no clue about it, all of the sudden the Clown Prince of Crime shows up. My heart would start going FAST ! I would give a 5 star to a game like that. But you have to go back to real world: who is going to voice the Joker if Hamill is gone ? … hopefully they wont do a prequel, there are way too many questions to be answer such as: what chaos will Hush do ? What about the Scarecrow radio frequency or tips ? and more.
Joker is a sneaky guy and I hate to say or believe it, but Joker could be really dead. It broke my heart when Joker died. I really hope they make a third game and he is still alive. I mean, come on! Batman without Joker?! That’s like Batman without Robin! I do wanna know what happened to Hush also. Seems interesting. I hope they make a third game with all the villians joining together and Joker, Harley, and their kid to be the leaders. It will be really interesting. Plus, you won’t be left with so many unanswered questions and it puts your skills to the test on how much you love Gotham in an all out war. They should also make another Arkham-something like Arkham Prison or Arkham State, something worth a show but totally not cheesey!

Ok this would be my idea of a storyline….
It starts off with you hunting down hush,he’s still looking like Wayne taking his money,acting unlike himself,canceling funds into foundations,and batman has been working overtime trying to find him since he’s taking his place as his alter ego blah blah then you get a call from nightwing he just apprehended thugs that nightwing interrogated said there were getting supplies for their very injured scarecrow.Then suddenly Arkham Asylum and black gate prisoners have broken out I’m talking all villains:penguin,two face,black mask,killer croc,rat catcher,firefly,great white shark,mad hatter,and the ones I left out plz tell me anyway.than batman tells nightwing to gather the others because he has to stop Hush from ruining his other good name.so u switch over to nightwing u have to do 5 side missions u choose missions any of the villains I just listed than you go to robin after your missions same thing with robin you do some missions than all gather up at the cave including batman,batgirl,bat woman,nightwing,robin,Alfred,and oracle then Red hood randomly shows up on the bat computer and says you will all pay blah blah blah then after some dialogue and u switch to red hood and he’s teaming with hush so he can fund his plans and then all leads to azraels prophesy Gotham is out of control and other stuff plz add and remember I’m only 13 don’t judge just something I thought up plz tell me your ideas

I just want to be able to run and glide around Gotham not a jail the entire game. They were both amazing games but that would be even better to me. They could have random crimes throughout the city you can stop if you feel like it, like the amazing Spider-Man game. But I would be happy as long as they make a new one.
Jokers still alive notice at end ov game the cures in Batman’s right hand ,and when he blacks out its his left hand ,joker cud ov easily taken cure and then put it in the wrong hand!!!! Plus there’s 3 jokers real one , clay face and a henchmen that he put his DNA in his body which joker has done before. Therefore clay face in the lazires pit, joker stole the cure, drank it put it back in wrong hand fake joker lying on the hood of James Gordon’s car. Real joker lurking in the shadows plotting his next move leaving a slot for batman Arkham world!!

Frankly, I’m kinda surprised that this article didn’t consider the possibility of some kind of posthumous Joker plot. We all know this series (and Batman in general) wouldn’t be the same without him and he had known for quite some time that he was dying and although he probably expected Batman to save him, he had to know there was a chance he’d actually die and the idea that he wouldn’t plan for that is ridiculous. I think he has one more posthumous self-executing scheme up his sleeve that will be revealed by a complex series of voicemails and other recordings so that in the final installment of the trilogy, it will be like he never died at all.
