Throughout their tenancy of the Arkham franchise, Rocksteady have always endeavoured to faithfully adapt some of the most colourful and memorable adversaries to ever come to blows with Batman, but sadly they have missed out a few along the way. Whilst an obvious side-effect of the confines in which Rocksteady are able to tell their stories, the characters that the Arkham series has failed to incorporate so far has resulted in many missed opportunities. Batman's gallery of rogues is all but unmatched in terms of fascinating villains, so choosing which ones have to fall victim to the cutting room floor can never be an easy job. That being said, despite the variety their series has strived to create with its remaining selection of antagonists, Rocksteady have sometimes failed to deliver both in terms of narrative and in gameplay - the DLC for Arkham Knight may be a chance to finally rectify these mistakes. The so called 'Season of Infamy' will include numerous new villains for The Dark Knight and his allies to take on, and it's safe to say that these will be the guys Rocksteady have always wanted to use, yet due to various narrative constraints have never had the opportunity of doing so. This makes this particular nugget of DLC especially significant, as fans will finally get to see an Arkham makeover for the iconic characters they've always wanted to see.

In his current role, Ewan incorporates his love of cinema, comic books, and history into written pieces and video essays for WhatCulture's Film & TV channel, as well as WhatCulture Gaming and WhatCulture Horror, with a particular focus on nineties-era Dad Movies, old school Westerns, and Golden Age Hollywood Noir.
