Batman: Arkham Knight - Mark Hamill's Joker Returns For Batgirl DLC

And no being crippled by the Joker, so that's nice.

Feel like Arkham Knight was a little short? Gamers were waiting months for the much-delayed Batman game, and then most of them blitzed through it on launch weekend (excepting those Riddler Trophies, because the Riddler Trophies are BS). Not wanting to keep its audience holding their breath any longer, Warner Bros. are getting the first DLC out now too. For the first time ever you'll be able to play as Barbara Gordon, better known as Batgirl, in the €œA Matter Of Family€ DLC. According to design producer Justin Vazquez, who worked on Arkham Origins, it'll include a new €œhacking€ mechanic, because Batgirl's not as strong as Batman, but she can use computers better than the Dark Knight. The first "Gotham City Stories" DLC will see her and Robin teaming up to save Babs's dad, Commissioner Gordon, after he's been kidnapped by The Joker and kept at a nautical themed amusement park (which was teased in an Easter Egg). If that sounds familiar, it's because that's pretty much the set up of the classic graphic novel The Killing Joke.
You know, the one where Barbara Gordon gets shot through the spine by the Clown Prince Of Crime, unceremoniously ending her Batgirl career. So maybe Batgirl: A Matter Of Family will be a good bit of revisionist history with Babs triumphing. Or it might be the first game where completion results in your character being crippled for life! Now there's a unique achievement to hunt down. €œA Matter Of Family€ will also see the return of the Duel Play function from Arkham Knight, allowing players to control Batgirl and Robin at the same time, if they're the multi-tasking sort. Plus: Harley Quinn will be wearing her original Batman: The Animated Series costume! About damn time! Batgirl: A Matter of Family will debut July 14 for Arkham Knight DLC season-pass holders, or July 21 sold separately.
