Batman: Arkham Knight - Rocksteady Eyeing Superman As Next Project

Revealing Arkham Knight easter eggs point to a combined mythos.

Initially reported by Kotaku, it appears many fans' hopes and dreams might be coming true, as thanks to a string of awesomely tantalising easter eggs - Rocksteady look to be venturing to Metropolis for their next project, potentially doing a Superman game that would finally do the character justice in the game world.

Rumoured for years after interviews with the developers themselves mentioned they'd love to tackle another DC mythos, Superman became the go-to rumour mill-spinner, and now that Arkham Knight has released, there are even more hints that's the case.

Let's look at the facts:

- Rocksteady are absolutely, definitely done with the Batman canon, having repeatedly stated as such in every interview they've appeared in.

- Arkham Knight's city destruction tech - which features all manner of structures crumbling in unique ways only to be rebuilt over time - would be perfect for Supes to throw any number of foes through.

- It'd be a perfect tie-in to the Batman V Superman movie, mirroring DC's conjunctive approach to their franchises on the big screen, whilst allowing the team to provide any number of nods to Batman and the world of Arkham going forward.
