Now that we have confirmation that GTA V is set for release in Spring 2013 – to the collected surprise of roughly no-one – we can expect to see a lot more detail for the game coming soon, not least thanks to the upcoming revellatory issue of Game Informer, including more screen-shots, story detail and pre-order details. Surely, with that reveal coming, it can’t be long until a second trailer arrives as well…

Anyway, while we wait, we’re celebrating the best fan-made Grand Theft Auto memes released on the web – including some made just for us. The best selections celebrate the occasionally skewed logic of the GTA universe, turning the mirror back on some of the established laws of the huge universe Rockstar have created to show exactly how ridiculous those rules and in-game limitations can be in context. Some add a GTA flavour to some already well-known memes, while others included in this article just plain tickled our funny bones – the only requirement needed for entry was an entertainment factor.
