Bioware Taking Heat for Mass Effect 3 Day One DLC

Many fans are angry that Bioware is being greedy and removing content that was already in the game but transfering it to $10 DLC purposes.

Just two days after the Mass Effect 3 DLC leaked onto XBL Bioware is taking some major heat from fans of the series. Mass Effect fans are in an uproar over the fact there is $10 content that is not included in the game that will be available on release day. Many fans are angry that Bioware is being greedy and removing content that was already in the game but removed for DLC purposes. Basically fans are pissed off because they think Bioware is trying to milk them for more money when the DLC content should be free. The uproar is bad enough that Casey Hudson had to make a statement on twitter about the content:
"On , content creators completed the game in January & moved onto the "From Ashes" DLC, free w/ the or you can buy seperately, It takes about 3 months from 'content complete' to bug-fix, certify, manufacture, and ship game discs, In that time we work on DLC. DLC has fast and no , so if a team works very hard, they can get a DLC done in time to enjoy it with your first playthrough on day one."
From what I can figure Bioware intended the DLC as one of the main reasons to buy the Collectors Edition of Mass Effect 3; before the DLC leaked it was known that a mission and an unannounced recruitable character would be included in the Collectors Edition. Nobody seemed to care and then all of a sudden when people learned what the character was fans flipped out. That is what I don't understand about all of this, we have known about this content for a long time, it was the number one reason I pre-ordered the Collectors Edition for $80; so why all the excitement now? I get that people think they are being cheated out of content but we still don't know how important that content is; for example in Mass Effect 2 I bought the Kasumi Goto DLC and I did get an extra character but it was very shallow DLC overall. Kasumi was never as fleshed out as the other main characters were; with that said I think it is too early to get upset until we know for sure how important the DLC is.
