Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 Reveal Confirmed For 1st May

Activision's official Call of Duty site teases a "World Reveal" for the first day in May.

Activision have today updated their official website to confirm that there will be a "World Reveal" relating to the Call of Duty series on 1st May during the NBA play-offs on TNT. Click here to reveal the teaser image. Whether it will be to confirm the expected sequel to Black Ops, or the potential curve-ball of another Modern Warfare remains to be seen, but the smart money is on the former, given the appearance of the teaser poster that we have already covered. Another fact that lends credence to the reveal being for Black Ops 2 comes from the source code of the official Call of Duty site - as discovered by an eagle-eyed NeoGaf forum user - which includes that game title within the meta-tags. The same official site includes a number of "Classified" images, which will be revealed over the next few days, presumably teasing more content. Fans looking for some information on the forthcoming title have so far been reduced to feeding off scraps, with the leaked teaser poster offering the only real indication of the game's announcement, as well as the one leaked screen shot which supposedly comes from the game which you can see here. If the source is authentic, the image gives some insight into the art direction of the game, as well as the likely screen set-up. But time will tell. You can expect much more Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 information to appear on this site as it is revealed.
