Rumors have been running rampant for quite some time now as to exactly whether or not the next Call of Duty would be a blessing or a curse. With the world reveal debuting during the playoffs, Twitter lit up in an explosion of positivity towards the direction Treyarch is taking Call of Duty in. Black Ops 2 is now officially taking place in the future, and possibly the past. One thing is certain, it looks insanely badass.

The trailer raises the questions of just what could happen when technology could possibly eliminate the need of soldiers on the frontlines of war. A reliance on strong, lethal, and accurate war machines would grant us the ability to strike fast and without ever losing a life. The only question that remains after this type of technology is created is what could possibly happen if our enemies acquired the keys to our weaponry and turned them against us?

I refuse to spoil the trailer for those of you anticipating another Call of Duty title, so all I will say is that when a city is burning to the ground, our weapons have been turned against us, and we seemingly have no hope whatsoever, all you need to remember is that we always need a grizzled vet ready to do what no one else can.
