Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 Teased by Konami

Konami's upcoming but as yet unannounced sequel to 2010's Lords of Shadow.

Above is the first image of what could well be Konami's upcoming but as yet unannounced sequel to 2010's Lords of Shadow, which has just made its way onto the interwebs. The image first appeared on Konami's Facebook page with a link to a site called The Dragon Returns, with May 31st promised as a reveal date. Castlevania: Lords of Shadows was a bold new step for the franchise, shifting focus to 3D environments and what many would call a blend of God of War and Devil May Cry combat. A solid if not sizzling game, it attained good if not great critical reception and sold well. It was also incredibly beefy - in fact some criticised the game being too long. No spoilers here, but let's just say it was the ending of Lords of Shadow that truly got people excited for the potential direction the franchise could take, and it's going to be very interesting to see where Konami decide to take the series next.
