Crash Bandicoot Will Be At E3 2016... But Not How You Think
Suddenly it all makes sense.
Did you believe? Just for a second? Did you really think the Orange Marsupial himself was going to make some grand return, bounding back into our lives and reinvigorating our passion for the industry like he did two decades ago?
Oh... you did. Well, this is going to be awkward, because as Push Square have managed to catch a listing for a special edition of Skylanders: Imaginators, it appears all the tweets, all the hearsay and all the rumours of Crash Bandicoot's 'return'... are regarding a collectible figure for Activision's toys-to-life game.
It burns, right? It burns hard and deep, because this isn't even the first character they've done it too - poor Spyro the Dragon went from being a cutesy, charming childhood hero into a strange, serpentine lizard... thing, simply for the sake of redesigning him for the forever-nebulous 'mass appeal' demographic.
Granted, if we take just one step back, there's a possibility Crash is still going to have his own game - maybe a remaster or something, considering the aforementioned tweets did come from one of the official Sony PlayStation accounts, but as it stands... well, it does so on a small plastic circle.
