As is customary with games like Fallout 4 - and earlier this year, Batman: Arkham Knight and The Witcher 3 - there's something about the way developers like Bethesda, Rocksteady and CD Projekt RED craft their open worlds that gives off one hell of a signature feel. Bethesda have always been the kings when it comes to this stuff, thanks to Skyrim's complete domination of both pop culture and the mainstream press in general, and although Witcher 3 certainly makes a case for how solid side-quests and consistently engaging narrative can actually aid your exploration, Fallout has returned to show the world how it's done.
