Fallout 4: 30 Minute Demo Confirmed For E3

Guillermo del Toro to direct the accompanying trailer? [Updated 11/05/15]

Feel free to scroll down for the initial coverage on this, but as VideoGamer.com are now reporting, it appears film director Guillermo del Toro's studio Mirada Studios have been hired to put together a CG trailer that will assumedly predate the game's 30 minute demo. The information comes from a member of the team including 'Fallout 4 cinematic trailer' as a listing on their CV, although as of time of writing Bethesda are remaining tight-lipped on the whole thing.

E3's going to be fantastic either way, and if you want to get embroiled in more potentially incredible predictions, check out our additional coverage over here. Original report reads: Fallout 4 rumours are a dime a dozen right now - especially when Bethesda themselves confirmed they're having their own booth at this year's E3 conference; further fuelling speculation that's precisely because they want to announce something huge. German gaming site PC Games are the ones who've been given the scoop most recently, as although the source behind the whole thing wishes to remain anonymous, they've given away a few key tantalising details that almost surely have to mean Fallout 4 is confirmed. The insider info goes that 'an unnamed RPG' is going to be shown either to the conference attendees or behind closed doors to certain media outlets, lasting for "around 20-30 minutes in length", alongside mentioning that even with this showcase, it wouldn't make a 2015 release window. Of course being 'unnamed' this could be a new Elder Scrolls, but as Skyrim is still going strong through the modding community and was only released in 2011 - it makes far more sense that it's finally the game fans have been clamouring for years to get official confirmation of. E3 will take place June 16-18th, but Bethesda's own conference is on the 14th, kicking off the proceedings with a righteous bang if it's true. Finger's crossed! Let us know in the comments whether you believe this source more than the others, or if the existence of a Bethesda conference at all (for the first time ever) is confirmation enough that something huge is going down.
