19. Martin Ødegaard (Heerenveen)

Norwegian youngster Martin Ødegaard fares a little better than Luiz and has an improved 74 rating at the start of FIFA 18. Much like his predecessor, Ødegaard has the potential to turn into an 86-rated midfielder. Unlike Luiz though, the Heerenveen star plays wide on the right.

Ødegaard's 82 dribbling is a highlight of his skill set, but you'll need to train him up if you want to see lower stats like shooting (just 58) and physical (42) improve. They should get better quickly though, and that makes him a shrewd buy should you manage a smaller Premier League club.

The Dutch Eredivisie in general is worth plundering. Send some scouts to the Netherlands and there are hidden gems like Ødegaard waiting. Don't be put off by his low stats, because the midfielder has clear potential.
