GTA V: 10 Things We Learned From Leaked Footage

8. The Wasted Screen

Gta V B It's something of a foregone conclusion that we're going to see a lot of the words "Wasted" and "Busted" flash up on our screens over the next week or so, and though this image might not seem like a big deal, it is still an iconic part of the GTA franchise, something that has been with it ever since the very first game. Needless to say, the wasted screen in GTA V is not too dissimilar to the previous game, though has returned use of the above words, which were removed from the fourth game, seemingly in an effort to make the game more "serious". Still, Rockstar realised that fans want a bit of fun and silliness too, and so the iconic type-face is back. The mostly gnarly death video I've seen so far features Franklin being involved in a high-speed car crash and being flung through the windshield, glass and blood exploding in monochromatic slow motion as the red "Wasted" flashes onto the screen. Also, plane crashes seem to, somewhat realistically, cause almost instant death, and there seems to be very little chance of escaping alive.
