GTA V: Multiple Discs Required For Xbox 360 Version?

Grand Theft Auto V may require "ten discs" for it to be playable on the Xbox 360.

gtav New details regarding Rockstar Game's upcoming sandbox title Grand Theft Auto V have emerged, suggesting the title will need to be shipped with more than two discs for it to be playable on the Xbox 360. It is common knowledge that the upcoming title will not only be Rockstar Game's biggest ever title, but also the largest Grand Theft Auto game to date with a map bigger than the worlds of Red Dead Redemption, GTA San Andreas and GTA IV combined. Though there was initially widespread excitement at those claims, there are now concerns that the game will simply be too large to fit on one disc. It appears as though the space issue mostly relates to the Xbox 360 version of the game, with one report suggesting the new GTA game would have to launch with ten discs for it to be playable on the console. That quote is bound to leave gamers aghast and it probably doesn't hold that much water, but it does put into perspective the problems Rockstar are having in finding a way to fit their content onto a singular disc. Rockstar have released some of their titles on multiple discs before - L.A Noire was spread out over three discs on the 360, while the Grand Theft Auto IV: Complete Edition had to use two discs, one for the original game and one for the two DLC€™s. In comparison, the much more spacious blu-ray discs over on the PS3 counterpart allowed for just the one disc. There is then a real concern that Xbox fans may once more be seeing a Rockstar title on more than one disc later this year.
