Guild Wars 2: 10 Reasons You Should Stop Reading and Go Play

10 reasons to close your browser right now and start playing Guild Wars 2.

Guild Wars 2 launched one week ago to widespread critical acclaim. It certainly has some issues, but fun is absolutely not one of them. As a matter of fact, now that I think about it, I don't think I have played another game since it came out. Yikes. Anyway here are 10 reasons to close your browser right now and start playing Guild Wars 2.

10. Exploration is King

Many games try to encourage exploration through Easter eggs, nice views, or hidden treasure. Guild Wars 2 takes exploration to the next level, offering all of these things plus a heaping side of experience. In fact, you can nearly got all the way to level 10 by simply exploring your starting area and racial home city, without fighting a single monster. No other MMO has ever come close to rewarding explorers as generously as Guild Wars 2.

9. Experience for Everything

Carrying over from the last item on the list, exploring and fighting are not the only ways to gain experience and level your character. As a matter of fact, almost everything gives you experience points. Like to gather raw materials? You get experience. Like to turn those materials into goods with crafting? Experience. Like escorting caravans in WvWvW or PvE? Experience. Like finding and filling renown hearts? Experience. Enjoying going through your personal story? Experience. Pretty much anything you do in the game (except dancing, unfortunately) gives you some experience, and it makes leveling feel just that little bit easier when things start to drag.
