Halo 4 Set For Worldwide Launch in November

The Master Chief returns on 6th November worldwide.

One of the most hotly anticipated games of the year - 343 Industries' - has officially been confirmed for release worldwide on 6th November 2012. The sequel, which seeks to reinvigorate what was once the most influential game franchise on the market, marks the return of legendary hero Master Chief and apparently aims to set a new standard for blockbuster interactive entertainment. Developed by 343, and published by Microsoft, Halo 4 represents a watershed moment for the franchise, and a new beginning without the developmental influence of original creators Bungie. In Halo 4, which is set four years after the events of Halo 3, the iconic Master Chief returns to confront his destiny and face an ancient evil that threatens the fate of the entire universe. Phil Spencer, corporate vice president of Microsoft Studios followed the news of the games release with the following:
€œWe are beginning a new saga with Halo 4 and embarking on a journey that will encompass the next decade of Halo games and experiences. Millions of fans worldwide have been eagerly awaiting the opportunity to step back into the boots of Master Chief, and with Halo 4 leading the charge, we€™re confident 2012 will be the most successful year in Xbox history.€
So, will Halo 4 reannounce the Halo franchise as a flagship concern for 343 Industries and Microsoft, or like Tomb Raider and the relics of the recent gaming past, does it belong in another generation? Let us know if you're excited to see the fate of the Master Chief further revealed.
