If you couldn’t get enough Hitman in your life, now you can add a brand new book to your things to do list! Del Ray, a subsidiary of Random House publishing will be releasing a new Hitman novel to the franchise. Tentatively titled “Hitman: Damnation”, the novel is written by Raymond Benson, also known for his works for Metal Gear Solid and Splinter Cell franchises, and is the official prequel to the upcoming release – Hitman: Absolution.
The novel will be set between the start of Absolution and following the end of last title Hitman: Blood Money, following Agent 47 “as he attempts to complete his toughest assignment yet”. The press release goes further to describe that “Agent 47 is charged with assassinating high-level American political figures, but he notices that some aspects of the mission don’t add up as he is plunged into a web of lies, deceit and murder”
The release date is currently set as ‘Summer 2012’ – I wonder, what will I do on my commutes until then? Hitman: Absolution is set for release later in 2012.
