Injustice 2: 6 Cancelled Characters You Need To See

These DC superheroes would've been AMAZING in-game.

Injustice 2 is just over a year-and-a-half old, and though fans are already beginning to contemplate what the third entry in NetherRealm's DC saga may include, the sequel is still ticking - despite DLC having wrapped up some months ago.

Curtsey of a report from GameRant, we now also know that NetherRealm cancelled the implementation of six DC characters into the main game, with some fan favourites included amongst them. These range from slightly more obscure supporting characters, to genuinely renowned heroes villains from DC's library, and all were optioned by fans prior to release.

In the end, it's easy to see why NetherRealm opted not to include some of these characters, with a few definitely being able to sit in the pile of 'jokey' characters littered throughout the studio's titles, but there are others who you could genuinely see getting used in Injustice 3 - especially so, given their wider significance to the Injustice canon, which has been gradually expanded through actual DC Comics.

Either way, these designs by Justin Murray are fantastic, and we can't wait to find out if they make it to the sequel.
